The opinions of the players don't mean shit when they haven't even thought about any other MMO. Personally, I've bought and played 12 or so MMO's, WoW being one of them, and I always find myself going back to Asheron's Call. The PvP on Darktide is fun, and the mass battles you have on Aphus Lassel or in the Lum dungeon are what make the PvP in that game awesome.
there are some truly epic moments (the battle with Kil'jaeden, as well as the final battles with yogg saron and Arthas. Both of them were fucking awesome.). It has improved greatly.

The storylines are 500x better. when you do a raid the first few times, it can be fun, but not when you do it over and over and over and over again. That is the point where all you think about is getting gear.

@yomagicalmist I've been a Gladiator for 5 straight seasons on WoW and I've placed 6th in the country for 3v3 arena and let me be the first to tell you it still does NOT compare to Asheron's Call PvP in any aspect whatsoever. Battlegrounds are lame, arena's are incredibly easy and world PVP in WoW is just plain boring.

I agree.. I played wow for a year. got to level 80, raided a few times, when I realized that i keep doing the same thing over and over and over and ovr again, Wow doesnt even have a strong storyline

@Charcharblaze lore heavy? WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!?!? The lore is weak compared to most games I play, and to actually find out the history fo wow, you have to buy like 4 other products because the people at blizzard are just big money guzzlers.
You cant even get a full expirence out of the game. No one at all does the old raids. You only get like 30% of the expirence because of how expantions are set out.

@Blacckkfire WoW is the DEFINITION of lore heavy. Please go to WoW- Wiki and see how many articles there are on the hundreds of characters in the warcraft universe. If you think that WoW is not lore heavy you are mistaken.
No one does the old raids because there is no point... You could get a friend and 2-man the old raids if you want. How is blizzard supposed to keep adding in new content if old content doesn't get left behind? Please explain.

@Charcharblaze Ive played wow. I know much of it. The lore is crap and cheesey imo. I've read and looked numerous topics on wow, and they all dissapoint me. warcraft games are different, but in wow, you dont even get that feeling of lore. All you get is: I need to get money and badges to get metter gear
It is all material (virtuial) items that make up why people play, you dont feel like you are actually taking part in the story

The reason I play is so I can finish raids, which directly relate to the lore..
IDK about you, but defeating the lich king or illidan, yeah, that's a pretty big part of the story.

The storylines are 500x better. when you do a raid the first few times, it can be fun, but not when you do it over and over and over and over again. That is the point where all you think about is getting gear.
The entire game is revolved arround gear anyway, and the community = omfg. Try listening to horde in vent when they loose a pvp

WoW is nowhere near my favorite game... That goes to Shadow of the Colossus.

I went on to different games with mods to them and they inspired me to do advanced moding myself. I can play arround and edit files to my liking in wow whenever I want to now with my knowlage of modding.
Blizzard does not even support helping people make addons. TES games come with an entire construction set to download for free to edit the game
