If the pot is at 300 and someone infront bets 100 that makes the pot 400 and your being asked to call 100 making your chances around 4:1 not 3:1 surely?
@leeboz3 he is talking about the odds of hittign a flush on the turn OR the river versus the odds of only hitting it on the river once the turn has proved unseful.
OF COURSE THE ODDS FOT THAT less!
Dunno why you are commenting on his video when you can't follow what he's obviously getting at.
and i dont know why you got tuhmbs up for your comment!
this advise is sheet your persentage to hit a flush with 2 cards to come is 35% not 36% and should only be used when deciding to go all in ,otherwise you should only consider 1 card and so your percentage to hit the flush would be 19.6% ; if the initial pot is pot si 300$ and somebody bets 100 the pot is 400 and so the pot odds ape 4:1 and so to breake even to hit 1 time in 5 and so your persentage to breake even is 20% so you you shoul call the bet ,but if you have a good read maybe raise
i wanna master the art of poker. i am an amateur i know nothing of poker, however i am good at when i put my mind to things. im asking if anyone can point me in the right direction where i can learn like i said i know zilch. no hands nothing abt poker. but i am a fast learner. i am tired of looking up these vids they all seem not very informational. if any of you can refer me to a dvd or something good foundation id appreciate it- thank you
@Joel0277 hey bud playing FreeRolls is the best way to learn because experience is an excellent teacher, only reason i recommend freerolls for a beginner is because you're not risking any of your own real money but you can win actual money so there is something to lose during the game...otherwise if you're just playing Free Money games you won't learn correctly because you'd have much less to risk so you wouldn't play the same necessarily
He is wrong, actually he is about a 4:1 dog to hit the turn and about a 4:1 dog if he misses the turn to hit the river. That is the correct no limit way to think.
?? who the hell is this guy?? he has no idea what hes talking about.. pot odds are only the small thing in playing like a pro... well tell this guy to go back to his little shirt shop
