Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde have got a bad rap... I would say that though. I love everything by this band, and not for the sake of it. I love the B-Sides album as one of my faves. The decision to not record any new stuff when they reformed was right though.

Bossanova is a greaaaaaaaaat album, Velouria is one of their best songs and ones like Rock Music are just aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh brilliant

not really. if anything, doolittle was the most pop album they ever made. bossanova was very pop but it seemed like charles was doing what he really wanted to on that record.

Why did they play Something Against You when they're talking about Bassanova? It's a great song, but it's on Surfer Rosa, not Bossanova.

@TagoMago7 all the live footage is from a gig that was played in 1988, before bossanova was released, maybe they just didn have any decent footage of bossanova stuff. but i agree, its strange, they should have shown a bossanova song!

I am with spruceshark, I was always in the know but never really got into them. THEY FRIGGIN ROCK!!! Another band I just got heavy into Radiohead. Being a musician and never getiing into these two bands is now crazy to me. Seeing as most new music is complete garbage I am happy to have so much old/"new" music to listen to for the first time - thanks

Couldn't agree more!!Been aware of the Pixies for yrs but gave them the briefest of listens, didn't get into them and gave up.Gave a couple of their songs a listen a few wks ago and can't believe what I've been missing out on, I'm completely hooked, one of my favourite bands of all time already and the 1st time I've gotten excited in new (to me anyway!) music in yrs! I play guitar too and have been so un-inspired by what I've been hearing for so long, and they've re-ignited my passion for music!

The Pixes rocked Detroit so hard in the late 80's. I was there... I dove off the stage with countless others.. The crowd was so intense. Menories that will never fade. Thankyou Pixes!!!
