  • ha ha theres no way in a million years this would be allowed now thered be uproar

  • 1:50 ... The inspiration for Shrek, maybe?

  • I haven't heard this for so long - I was only a young when this came out and it made me more aware of what was going on in South Africa then any news story - along with Peter Gabriel's Biko, free Nelson Mandela concerts and the movie Cry Freedom. It is a shame we don't have people really highlighting issues in funny or thought provoking ways any more.

  • DOOS!

  • I know a south african, he's an arrogant borstard

  • LOL @ everyone taking this song seriously. Spitting Image used to take the piss out of pretty much everything back in the day.

  • It's interesting how this song never mentions Nelson Mandela. Is that because he, too, was a terrorist who killed people for his cause, or was he just not that famous when he was in prison?

  • @Pedgerow

Clue would be in the line 'who hate black people'. Nelson Mandela doesn't hate black people.

  • @HumanMonolith YAY a new comment your human and not puppet thank god Dx im having nightmares whyyy so funny and addicting but so scary

  • @Pedgerow The song is referring to white South Africans.

  • For chrissakes people... it IS Lord Lucan... didn't anyone see his bloody character in Spitting Image? It's his puppet!!! (but yes, once again, it does look a little like Freddie Mercury)...

  • great

  • I've met a fairly modest German.

  • na he's never met a nice south african, and thats not bloody suprising mun!

  • Um, it IS Lord Lucan... but yeah, definitely looks like Freddie Mercury! =O)

  • @nickthelick Yeah!

  • @nickthelick Barman COULD be Freddie Mercury and not Lord Lucan, my main reason for saying this is that not only as you stated "he looks like Freddie Mercury", but Freddie Mercury was born in Zanzibar which is and correct me if I'm wrong, in Africa

  • Barman isn't Lord Lucan . It is Freddie Mercury

  • quality !!! thats why holland is so calm cause most of the crazy people emigrated to south africa ;)

  • I have some friends who are south african, and they are all really nice, but we've got a HATEFUL HORRIBLE EVIL games teacher who is south african... And he speaks like the south africans in this video... But, my south african friends do have a kind of british accent.... hmmm.

  • I've met quite a few nice South Africans, this song is offensive because its meant to be offensive and its a swipe to those who supported apartheid,

  • apartheid was a great system... SA has gone to shambles since

  • lol

  • One of their best songs!

  • "I have a an encounter of the 22nd kind. That's where an alien space ship {clup} disapears up your behind." LOL!

  • i like the way some of them say 'eetha' and some of them say 'eyetha' at 2:06

  • Damn britian, You scary!

  • Should have met my aunt and cousins. South Africans, mainly military and one was praised by Mandela when he was released due to his anti-apartheid stance. Heyho, can't please everyone all the time.....but a funny song nonetheless.

  • @CnutRexAnglorum Reverse the second and third letters of your username, and it would be quite appropriate for you.

  • @eclectica1 hehehehehehehehe

  • arrogant twats

  • the king of china looks like the man that owns my local kebab shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pmsl takes me back - still haven't met a noice sarf afrikan lol

  • I'm black and love this song. Hilarious.

  • 5 people might like south africans or they might be south africans.

  • @roryhynes The Indians send signals from the rocks above the pass...

  • I love this song, actually I have many south african friends who think this is hilarious. I bought it years ago and leant it to my mother-in-law........she's still not given it back lol

  • i forgot how genius this is. we listened to this at school, but had no idea about the subtle, or blatant, satire. genius.

  • fook me all these comments on how this is wrong!! ha! my girlfreind is south african and i lived in durban for two years! and the sa,s think this is hilarious!! get over it! its a bit of fun!! my birds not a nice south african, and she smells like a baboon!! bless her! she told me to post this! RELAX!!!!!!!

  • Woolworths? Whats Woolworths? Black people? Why do they hate black people?

common questions asked by todays youth...

    brill video though :)

  • @BOT101st Yeah, but Woolies was shit apart from the Pick n' Mix and it's probably a good thing that the 'Sith-Ifricans' have gotten over their hatred of the 'Blicks' ;)

  • @cuntylishus

    Ha, good point :P

  • @cuntylishus : Sith Ifikens? Like Officer Crabtree? 'Geed moanin''

  • I love how when they insult a large group of people they add that they have no sense of humour, therefore you cannot argue without proving them right.

  • @Alexc3217 Ironically compared to the majority race of South Africa this target audience wasnt a 'large group' of people, hense the system of apartheid ensuring minority rule

  • The accent has evolved this dialect of English into something indecipherable by an American audience. Bastards=Wastads?

Ahh just kidding. This was.. mildly humorous to say the most. But I'm surprised this clip doesn't have more trolls with their "14/88"

  • I've just noticed how similar this song is to squeeze - cool for cats

  • actually the other day I did meet a nice South African - he works at the post office near my house and has a thick white moustache reminiscent of an American policeman

  • @evanquads i got a nice south African friend hes lovely this would be banned off tv now

  • what, the, fuck.

  • best bits: working yorkshire miner, close encounter of the 22nd kind and directory enquires after less than forty rings.

cracks me up all the time

  • Its just a joke out of context, get over it.

  • Quite well done this. Bit of a laugh, though not as relevant nowa-days... to most anyway.

cos we're a bunch of errogunt boerstads who hate black peepel

  • @evanquads i thunk yts prininced blick pipple

  • This song is hilarious - and a nice reminder of the Apartheid era and how obnoxious its enforcers (the targets of the song) were. Equally hilarious are the asinine comments by contemporary thickies (mainly, alas, from South Africa) who don't understand the song's historical context.

  • @palaeologus1 This is always the best way to fight -ism's. mock the people who cause the problems.

  • @palaeologus1 but.....Based on a Forbes analysis of the recently published HSBC Expat Explorer Survey examining the feelings and experience of expatriates living and working in across 100 countries worldwide; South Africa emerged as the 3rd friendliest country and ranked highly in many other fields.

  • @palaeologus1 u are obveously an Ozzie? this is not even funny. ive never met a funny ozzie. and no sense of humor? lol. u ozzies dont even have a culture. i am now talking about the ex convicts who claim to be ozzie. not the native very good aboriginal people. maby watch the clip on you tube "Australia - The Hidden Crime!! " to be reminded. maby u will find that funny too u funny clown you. and South Africans are one of the top 3 friendliest nations you bloody idiot.

  • Comment removed

  • @palaeologus1 cummon mayt . cummon. clever one with no culture. how dare you even make fun of something that u know nothing about. i will show u videos that will make u swallow your FUNNY little comments and jokes . jou etter. jirder ek word so f*kken kwaad as hierdie f*kken gemors oor iets iets te se het wat hulle g'n niks van weet nie. die grootste rasiste wat sulke kak grappe maak.

  • Incredible - I think this prejudicial song was made without a single sense of irony. What would it be today, "I've never met a nice Zimbabwean? They are all smelly, arrogant loudmouths." Spitting Image are idiots.

  • @strattyuk1 and if you had your way no one would be allowed to laugh or have any fun. get a life you twat.

  • fuck you

  • Just a small comment to all the Saffas moaning about this.

The song was released in 1986, 4 years before Mandela was released.

  • @TazSUFC its a pretty funny song and im from south africa

  • isn't the barman Lord Lucan?

  • YES!!

  • @GayGuyinTucson No it isn't.

    Thats Harold Angryperson :p

  • has jimmy hill got his cock in his hand on the back of that truck?

  • I've been to England

    not my best experience

I got alot of trouble from some English guys when they found out I was South African

Every country has xenophobes, but I've been to most of Europe and U.S. and never got the kind of trouble I did in England

And also...I'm not accusing this video of being racist, I'm accusing it of being unintentionally xenophobic

Sorry to complain, but when every depiction of South Africans in global media is white racists, it gets on my nerves

  • I wonder why they got that reputation? A durrr.

  • I see

So in your opinion every German is a Nazi, every muslim a terrorist and every Englishman a slave owner

Apartheid is a part of our history, but it doesn't colour every aspect of modern South African life

  • @julianlev I went to stay in South Africa last year, the white people who I stayed with, and the white people I met were suprisingly racist, calling black people lazy, blaming powercuts and poor customer service on racial traits.

However, I don't say taht teh whole country is racist, so just because you've had a bad experience in England, I wouldnt call it Xenophobic.

  • for the love of...

    ok im sorry ok

it was hypocritical for me to say this cartoon was bigoted and then proceed to act in a bigoted way

once again very sorry..to you and to all the English

now can we please drop it

c'mon guys, I barely get any comments on this site as it is

  • @NerdRoomProductions thats because it is their fault but then again because u stayed there last year you must be right. Those that live there and have lived there for more than just a holiday or a wuick visit wouldnt know the truth.

  • @julianlev - people tend to be a tad self-righteous, don't they? Try being an American! Every single self-righteous euro-cunt feels obligated to give us a lecture. I'm always like...ummm...hello? Are you familiar with your own history?

  • @MrRedFredSaid Most of us are aware of our own historical mistakes, a lot of Americans aren't aware of their countries present day and modern era mistakes

  • @ElectricEdgewave192 - to the contrary. Americans are more than aware of their past as it relates to racial relations. We are never allowed to forget and we do not allow ourselves to forget. Obviously, you are not aware of American culture to the extent that you believe you are. Furthermore, you don't generally see or hear Americans preaching to Europeans about their bloody history of colonization and brutality and centuries of empire. In other words, wrong again.

  • @MrRedFredSaid You obviously didnt read my comment well. U mentioned european HISTORICAL mistakes, I mentioned American PRESENT DAY mistakes, a most famous example being Iraq. I talk merely from what I learn from your elected officials and media on the news and TV, so either I'm right to believe those elected by the American people as representatives or maybe u see America's democracy as flawed and it's media is heavily biased, I'm happy to believe u either way

  • @ElectricEdgewave192 Colonization and Apartheid were worse.

  • @julianlev im proudly south african but not proud of south africa

  • @Southafro

and i like South africa too,

    yet im british,

as far as im concerned south africa is our ally, and us democracies should stick together

the world can be a very dangerous place

  • @Galacticmaster south africa doesnt give a rats ass about the rest of the world. Dude im afrkians so im supposed to hate british but im over it but alot of people arent and the black people ion south africa hate the brits even more than im supposed too. Dude if it was up to me then hells yeah id be like lets stay together but unfortunately people dont think with their brains. They think and judge with past memories

  • @Galacticmaster aww how sweet. you think you live in a democracy.

  • @dayiiv

    its not that bad,

we could all do alot worse

  • @Galacticmaster to quote george carlin. hitler and nazis lost the war but facism won it. people are controlled in so may subtle ways and told to believe the are living in freedom.

  • @dayiiv Who the fuck let David Icke have a Youtube account? Run along now dear, the lizard people are expecting you for dinner...

  • with no sense of humor

  • hard to decide whether to find this vaguely amusing or highly offensive

Considering what little experience of the English I've had, I wouldn't be overly surprised if this attitude was prevalent in English society

Oh well...their probably just sore that they lost the World Cup to us

  • lmao one of their best
