Anyone can get onto Fort Benning with proper identification and a reason for doing so... you just can't protest on the installation. The gates are a security measure to keep any persons who don't have business on the installation out, not exclusively protesters. As the announcement said, visitors can only enter through a manned access control point.
I understand your reasons for protesting, but you can't expect for military bases to be fence-free and let anyone who wants on access.
many of us have been working on this issue for 10-20 years, and will keep working at it. Last year's vote to defund only lost by 6 votes, and the last election knocked out 34 of the opponents which made for that narrow loss. We consider the SOA to be on life-support now. Sorry, I suggest you are wrong about us not being able to change something.
i'd like to see them leave the fences open and just shoot all of you as you "attack" the base.......
