the aprroach into denver form houston on continental 737's is sometimes quite bumpy. NIght landings are always abuzz into denver with a few bumps. I was one a mega quick journey from dener to newark once. There must of been a strong tailwind. It was on an embraier on continental. The embraier is alot smoother than the boeing 737 on takeoff
united even fly's boeing 777s from chicago ohaire to denver. Thats quite cool using a 777 for a domestic flight. I'd be much happier travelling on a 777 than a 737 due to the 777's excellent safety record. united uses the old 737-300's and some of the seats are in terrible condition. the seating space on those old united domestic planes is quite good for there age and you don't feel sqaushed between the person sitting next to you.
Do you fly over Boulder on the approach. I know some flights go over the Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park(Lake Estes), Broomfield, Ft. Collins Boulder to DEN. Am I correct?
lufthansa doesnt even fly A330s to denver. if you say it's not a 747 then it would be an A340 because they alternate equipment seasonally. i wouldn't doubt the person who flew it either

The captain had the speed brakes up to descend faster, correct?
keagkid101 3 years ago
Yes, they spoil the airflow to allow this.

Lufthansa DOES fly 747's into Denver!
1enigma101 4 years ago
Well they might have last year but they don't anymore
hoserhater45 4 years ago
If you work at Denver, you would see Lufthansa A340s, not A330s! The A330s have 2 engines, the A340s have 4. And yes, LH used 747s last year.

Lufthansa doesn't fly 747's into denver... i know because I work there and i see the A330's all the time
hoserhater45 4 years ago
This flight was in summer 2006. Last year it was a 747. You should know this.
ArneJe 4 years ago 3
@hoserhater45 That would be the A 340, and they did fly 747-400's on that route for awhile!

@hoserhater45 Can DEN handle the a380 and 787?
