Yes, he is not a great speech giver, but I found him so very moving and that makes him powerfully persuasive. The most powerful thing he said was that he was not any body's man, but America's after he survived beign a POW. And, I believed him. I know he is compassionate, he sacrifices for his beliefs and will do right by the country. He is real, speaks his heart and who cares about speech giving technicalities. We can rely on his ethics. He can be trusted to do right by us.

John spent nearly half of his speech talking about being in a hole in Vietnam (least we forgot that fact for a second) and then went on to infer that the war in Vietnam is like the "War on Terrorism". Something tells me that McCain has never really left Vietnam and has made it his life's goal to finally win a war with any stand-in two-bit country to vindicate America's Vietnam failure. If Afghanistan doesn't work, try Iraq, if not them try Iran. I hear Luxembourg's been talking smack about us.

the only experience mccain has over obama is his war record. palin governed a city in alaska that has a population of 6000.. wow impressive. OBAMA was the smartest in his class in HARVARD. any asshole can join the navy. the only reason palin is there is because mccain is trying to steal the light from obama being the first black president.And he thinks he can overshadow that by choosing palin , the first women VP. not to mention to steal hillary voters.

Wow this is the best you can come up with in terms of a response... For the record I was born and raised and currently reside in Chicago. I own real estate here. I work heavily in children's ministry, while I do not support abortion, I also am smart enough to allow that to be the only issue that moves me. To me, one has to do more than just claim Christ, thier life has to show an example... McCain falls far short, divisive, Palin, lying to get points... Not a good look

It astounds me that people can be so blind as to vote for a man like Obama who plans on increasing our taxes and increasing the size of our government. A man who doesn't have a competent plan to back up all that "get out of the war" talk AND a man who is a freakin junior senator. The man hasn't even managed a local grocery store, let alone a body of people.

John McCain is not perfect. I know that and he knows that. He's mostly in this for himself, just like any other politician. But at least he doesn't sugar coat is stances. He says what he believes and leaves it at that.
I don't like John McCain but I WILL NOT vote for a far left liberal who believes in killing aborted babies who've live through botched abortions. A man who is no more than a salesman. Fast talking, good looking and completely full of shit.

I am not Christian and I abhor organized religion in every form it takes. I do not need to believe in some imaginary friend in the sky. I'm not pro-life either. While I think abortion is a nasty business and I personally could never get, I have no right to deny one to any woman who feels she needs one. The price we would pay for banning abortion is far greater than the price we pay for allowing abortion.

Besides abortion is really a non-issue in this election. Granted Palin is a staunch pro-lifer and I disagree with her on that, McCain has a voting record for being very moderate on the issue.
As for your other assumption that I do nothing to help the children who are already here I can tell you right now that I am indeed involved in the Big Brother, Big Sister program as well as volunteering at our orphanage.

We have more information on Obama if only you would be as voracious in terms of getting to know both candidates as opposed to simply relying on the GOP talking points.
