It was played in the original advertisements to show that it was a horror game, as well as to set the opening mood for the game, which works wonderfully well. I've played this game already 4 times. I'm playing it the 5th time now- on HARD. It's frigging bloody hard man. I'm half way ( a room where that indestructible creature which regenrates its limbs comes at you, with lots of other creatures all at onec. I keep dying an reloading over and over. It's so goddamn hard! I might have to restart the whole game again, but on medium this time. DAMN! I do wish game designers created a setting where you can either make it easy, medium or hard during gameplay
