They got nerfed by the goddamn relic. Now they are very weak, might even lose to a cheap volks squad with MP44 upgrade. They can't throw grenade while camourflaged like in the video and they are not cool anymore!!

commandos are awesome :D But I have one problem. I bought Opposing Fronts and i installed it on steam and when I runned the game I heard no voices. Also when I started the tutorial i heard no voices. I am reinstalling the games now but does somone knows how I can solve it? Comany of heroes is awesome btw :D.

They did, however, it was removed since it completely ruined any game balance.

Also, I have no idea which version this is; however, commandos cannot use concealing smoke and grenades at the same time anymore. Also, they cannot use smoke immediately after landing.

This has to be a early version of Opposing Fronts since you cant smoke and use grenade. Because if you use smoke you have to wait about 20 secs to use smoke again or grenade. And the opposite.

Two sturmtroopers +Stg44 cost more than 1 commando squad, of course they will win!

However, you are also talking about vet 2 and over sturms this makes your units even more expensive.

Commandos are a very effective counter to sturms early on. Latter game commandos need an Lt before they can dance with vet 2 sturms with stg44s.

yea, this goes for any machine gun packing units, i go storm doctrine and throw sturmgewhers and panzershrecks on my storm troopers, whenever ur on the offensive move ur automatic weapons group to point blank for the best effect, this also prevents them from artying you out or grenading you because you will be right ontop of them. (dont mistake machine gun for a MG group, wouldnt turn out so well if u did). sturmgewhers and point blank = Rape

I disagree, Those troops were sitting there not being managed, they retreated them before and they are reinforcing. How often do you watch your troops reinforce? Commandos own up close and they can drop in anywhere.

The Commandos seen here are Brit red berets, the Parachute Regiment. However, the SAS (tan berets), Royal Marines (green berets), and the Paras as seen here (maroon berets, not to be confused with the Royal Military Police scarlet berets) are all elite forces, so they can all be considered commandos.

Beacause when u 3 star up ur storm troopers, and when they have panzershreks and sturmgewhers on them, they EAT artillery, rip apart fire flys, and with a little ally's support u can knock them right onto there asses again

The Commando smoke thing is the only thing tht makes them kind of annoying even Storm Trooper Camo doesn't let you turn invisible instently like that and drop anywhere with free SMGs no upgrades required is very bloody annoying, Flashirms and most Germany units on all sides have to upgrade just to get their high damage, but no Commandos.

I disagree Commandos are the most op little fuckers around. Because they come out of the sky into fog of war. Rape my infantry at vet 3. and can go into your base make a trench or demo everything. Man i wish we had a 560 manpower infantry that kills KCH which wehr don't even get to Tier 4 and commandos are only 3 cp. British also can lieutenent spam and now they're super offensive because they kill retreating units like no other.

That's normal game speed but it was recorded from a replay so you can easily make it faster just by increasing the playback speed if you wanted to.

Brits r good but i hate when people just use british artillery to win. Heres a situation. I was panzer elite and i was killing this brit artillery place. The guy was so mad at me he said. Please leave some artillery pls. And i was lauyghing because i toldem this is a game not a practice. The guy called me a noob and dropped when i blew his base. He turned out to be a level 6 O.O

well in ww2, the British mainly used defensive tactics because they couldnt afford heavy casualties. The Commandos were the few who actually fought with heavy shocking offense.

Chasme1, it's a glider. They were towed behind other aircraft and then glided into where they wanted to go.

Useful for commandos because they had no engines and the only noise they made was when they hit the ground.

I thought everyone knew about the gliders :/

It's called a Glider, it was pulled along behind a plane, usually a C-47, and the cable was released over the DZ. That was in all senses a perfect landing for a glider.

It just didn't go that well for the boys on D-Day.
