We just bought a house and it came pre-installed with this. Is the disarm code 4-1-2-3-4, like you did in the video? If not, can you tell me how to figure out the main code? Thanks...

You have two options with your panel:

1. Contact a local security firm to work with GE to unlock your panel,

or

2. Replace the panel

The siren is a little louder than most smoke detectors. You can connect a hardwired siren if you need a little more output...or wish to alert your neighbors.

I recommend getting some ear plugs when you install your first alarm.
