Awesome job dude, many kudos! How long did she run on stock long block? I had $18k in my motor and put down 500hp/ 496ftlb torque @ 4200 rpm. It made a 7k rpm dyno run and I'll leave it this, it was a freaking monster... Did a nudge over 700 on 93 octane
Good job. Sounds fantastic. Nothing better than a little DIY :) I have been seriously considering putting a single (or possibly a set of twins) on the 351 in my '66 Fairlane. I just wish I had a welder and the skills to use it. It's not just that of course. The cost of the build itself wouldn't be too bad, especially iif I spread it out. But the cost of the stronger trans, better rear end, etc would kill me. Plus the car would have to be strengthenedso I don't twist it up. Decisions decisions..
Thanks....i have a 6lb wastegate...but ran it with no gate and was hitting about 12lbs in the video....I have a tweecer RT to do tuning with....still a work in progress...I hope to have a new video soon.
That only looks to be about 12-16 lbs, Heat, rpm and detonation are bigger killers of engines. Control those and the 5.0 will take more abuse than most can handle.
I used regular exhasut tubing. I'm using an 3" in/outlet intercooler of a procharger system and aluminum cold side piping with blow thru MAF and HKS blowoff valves. Thanks for the comments...

nice car if you get some tires to put the power down. Kinda useless to have that much power if you cant use it.
