  • wow his strikes are so intense, across the sky all the way

  • i respect clements and everything but that dude needs to move the whole time i'm waiting for him to lose an eye.

  • why does that guy need to stand so close to him swinging? rofl. i was worried for the guy, and so was he as he was leaning away.

  • That's EXACTLY what I believe. Nailed it precisely, couldn't have said it any better. Those of you who dislike this video have not grasped the most important element of armed combat.

  • Clements appearance and methods of teaching may be controversial, but he's an undisputed expert of the HEMA community, his knowledge of historicla sources is enormous.

At least ONE VIDEO which teaches REAL CUTTING TECHNIQUE with an european straight blade. There is so much bullsh*t out there, hits actually done from the wrist like an axe/club without moving the body which is common in hollywood stage combat.

Euroswords were NEVER used like an axe or club that's a movie myth coming up in 1970-s.

  • @Protherium Axes and clubs weren't used with wrist movements with an otherwise still body either. Force coming primarily from the wrist is a trait of modern sport fencing more than anything else, and even then, it only applies to part of modern sport fencing. Full body movements are the norm for everything from spears to unarmed combat, simply because that is what works.

  • This is once you learn technique correct?

  • Very true! great video.

  • Thanks for the lesson. I will take it to heart

  • nice, true and a bit harsh, but gotta take the truth i guess(not me, i dont do that, i hit ! thats the fun part! slicing stuff!!)
