This is possibly the shittiest game on the market right now, excluding Hannah Montana games and such. Disgraceful graphics, shit storyline and failure in recreating the magic of the original movie all combine to make the worst movie-game translation in the world.

The thing is, games centering around dinosaurs actually cater to many tastes. You want a shooter? Try Turok, or Jurassic: The Hunted. You want a strategy game? Try Paraworld, or Chaos Island if you like classics. Fighter game? Try JP: Dinosaur Battles. Kids game? Try JP: Danger Zone. Adventure game? Try this.
The fact of the matter is: Graphics do not determine game quality. Gameplay is more important.
And answer me this: How many games have DINOSAURS in them? The awesome ones, of course!

Reminds me of those old adventure games for the PC, like Pajama Sam or Put Put. Could be a pretty good nostalgia game, but I'm hesitant to actually spend 60$ on it... Maybe if it's like a 15$ indie game, but that's just me.

This one... it already looks terrible. The characters don't look at all interesting, the story looks pretty predictable, and voice acting is sub par to just about any other game out there, and the gameplay looks incredibly slow moving. The graphics are terrible, the character modeling looks really stupid at times, and overall its just unimpressive.
@FAON1886 It's only 15 minutes of gameplay. You don't see much character or story in that matter of time to correctly judge a game. As for graphics and modeling, have you seen Team Fortress 2? Similar cartoony style. Saying it's unimpressive when the game hasn't even been released yet is pretty low. You could at least wait til the game comes out to see how it holds up.
even though there's different actions you as the player can choose from - it still seems like the "game is playing itself"... it all seems to have been decided for you, like when the player chose "run to the car" and the other caracter called that decision off and suddenly you had to go with the "distract them"...
these kind of games are like watching a movie, maybe you get to choose the lines of YOUR character - but the dialogue and storyline remains unchanged.
@LyleYoung I can make that same argument with almost any other game. Let's use the uncharted series as an example. You control your character, you shoot bad guys to get from point A to point B but are you really in control? No. It's all been decided for you, the game will be unchanged no matter how you decided to approach the situation. You may be able to choose who you shoot first and what not but the dialogue and storyline remains the unchanged. However, its still a fun game.
@FestArc i know and i agree, it can be said about most games - and i'd better mention that i haven't played this game yet, i only state these arguments from what i've seen in this video, i'll have to try it soon. it just doesn't seem like there's much for you to do as a player, except pressing a button once in awhile to make the character do some small action. like unlocking the door, or ducking to avoid the venom from the dilophosaurus because the computer is obviously moving everything for you

And for those of you who chant the "graphics aren't everything" mantra. THIS ISN'T A FULLY INTERACTIVE GAME so that point becomes irrelevant. This is not an open world, it's a movie where you push buttons to have the cinematic experience "play" for you. Much more effort could have been done to make the aesthetic of game look better, it would have been appropriate. Instead we're given early 2000s PC or PS2 graphics to a game that you're not even doing anything in other than *go left or right*
@AmericanMan44 One problem: This isn't Haze. The storyline looks shoddy and a lazy attempt to cash in on the franchise. At least Hard Rain had good aesthetics, graphics and a decent storyline to make up for the just pushing buttons to control cinematics. Like I said, if you have more freedom to move around here, the graphics would be fine the way they are...but you can't and the voice acting in annoying.

Reminds me of those old adventure games for the PC, like Pajama Sam or Put Put. Could be a pretty good nostalgia game, but I'm hesitant to actually spend 60$ on it... Maybe if it's like a 15$ indie game, but that's just me.

Very disappointed that the companies who make Jurassic Park games are so far out of touch with what fans of the movie and gamers really want...
At the very least I would want excellent graphics with dinosaurs that were true to the movie, not dinosaurs that were redrawn by some terrible artist.

Why can't here just be a GOOD Jurassic Park game. Why can't there be one that lives up to the original movie?
This one... it already looks terrible. The characters don't look at all interesting, the story looks pretty predictable, and voice acting is sub par to just about any other game out there, and the gameplay looks incredibly slow moving. The graphics are terrible, the character modeling looks really stupid at times, and overall its just unimpressive.

@FAON1886 It's only 15 minutes of gameplay. You don't see much character or story in that matter of time to correctly judge a game. As for graphics and modeling, have you seen Team Fortress 2? Similar cartoony style. Saying it's unimpressive when the game hasn't even been released yet is pretty low. You could at least wait til the game comes out to see how it holds up.

even though there's different actions you as the player can choose from - it still seems like the "game is playing itself"... it all seems to have been decided for you, like when the player chose "run to the car" and the other caracter called that decision off and suddenly you had to go with the "distract them"...
these kind of games are like watching a movie, maybe you get to choose the lines of YOUR character - but the dialogue and storyline remains unchanged.

@LyleYoung I can make that same argument with almost any other game. Let's use the uncharted series as an example. You control your character, you shoot bad guys to get from point A to point B but are you really in control? No. It's all been decided for you, the game will be unchanged no matter how you decided to approach the situation. You may be able to choose who you shoot first and what not but the dialogue and storyline remains the unchanged. However, its still a fun game.

@FestArc i know and i agree, it can be said about most games - and i'd better mention that i haven't played this game yet, i only state these arguments from what i've seen in this video, i'll have to try it soon. it just doesn't seem like there's much for you to do as a player, except pressing a button once in awhile to make the character do some small action. like unlocking the door, or ducking to avoid the venom from the dilophosaurus because the computer is obviously moving everything for you

@21gloverboy I never mentioned the graphics. I said that it has bad VOICE ACTING and is more of a movie that wants to be a game but doesn't know how. All the demos have shown that the game involves hitting bottons at certain times then watching a cutscene.

And for those of you who chant the "graphics aren't everything" mantra. THIS ISN'T A FULLY INTERACTIVE GAME so that point becomes irrelevant. This is not an open world, it's a movie where you push buttons to have the cinematic experience "play" for you. Much more effort could have been done to make the aesthetic of game look better, it would have been appropriate. Instead we're given early 2000s PC or PS2 graphics to a game that you're not even doing anything in other than *go left or right*

@AmericanMan44 One problem: This isn't Haze. The storyline looks shoddy and a lazy attempt to cash in on the franchise. At least Hard Rain had good aesthetics, graphics and a decent storyline to make up for the just pushing buttons to control cinematics. Like I said, if you have more freedom to move around here, the graphics would be fine the way they are...but you can't and the voice acting in annoying.
