Hillary had very similar goes for her presidency, but she just didn't have that "persona" or "charisma" that Obama apparently has. Why do you bring race into this. I am insulted as a white male for you to say I am throwing my love at Obama after my ancestors opressed African Americans. I hate to tell you, but I am voting for Obama for his stance on the issues, he may have little experience, but all experience does is blind you in Washington, look at out leaders now are you kidding me? Obama has a fresh perspective and has the right judgement on a majority of fundamental issues.

i voted for hillery because mccain and herself were the only two candidates that got off their asses and visited the troops in iraq...obama wont even give the proper respect and etiquette when the national anthem is playing and you guys want to make him president??? i do understand somewhat of the stigma related to blacks wanting respect in this country because they get shit on so much, and by electing this man president they think its going to boost self esteem, but c'mon this is the wrong way.

If Obama has done nothing else but bring politics to the forefront and getting people interested in the political process, I'm glad. Because those are issues that extend far beyond 4-8 years of presidency. The people's concern in the political process(and yes this is includes the elected officials) is what will carry this country. And if one politician can help to raise a new kind of people interested in politics, I can't help but be excited...I'm not that selfish.

Hillary had very similar goes for her presidency, but she just didn't have that "persona" or "charisma" that Obama apparently has. Yes all of that is a hype, but it's a hype that's raising money and got Obama the nominee. This has been going on for months and while I'm still skeptical about Obama's plan, I'm not going to pretend I haven't seen people in my community who hate politics signing up to vote and actually caring about politics for a change.

Surely, Obama is not going to be the Savior of the world, and no matter who gets in office, we will probably never see the day of true "change" in America. However, at least Obama was brave enough to speak about this idealistic change. Call me an idealist, but with America as screwed up as it right now, a little positivity doesn't hurt. All the candidates were given equal opportunity to speak up about this but none of them did and now it's too late and REALLY the time to hate Obama.

Unfortunately most people in the US arent going to think like you do and see beyond the media.That is all they know how to do and this is why we still have an electoral college and our votes dont really count. So according to America it is a popularity vote and yeah its true Obama is winning.And the media is going to keep pushing it not because they think Obama is AMAZING and they can't say anything because he's black but because theyve got viewers to keep, commercials to run, and people to pay.

Ok, so go vote for the old right-wing guy. Obama approaches problem solving in a different way than we've seen from 9 of the 11 Presidents who've been in office in my lifetime. In most things, there is no "proof" about outcomes. Life doesn't work that way. We accept risk all the time. Those who don't accomplish NOTHING. Be bold and go forward. Obama will help make the USA and the world a better place.

I totally respect what she's done since by unequivocally endorsing Barack. She's a class act and should have some role in his administration. Make no mistake he is qualified! Just listen to stances on all the major issues. Listen without contempt or animosity but as a concerned citizen who realizes that next February we'll be either swearing him in or John McCain. I ask myself what direction I see our country going with either of these gentlemen and the choice is clear for me.

they feel he stole her turn. Well it don't work like that in the good ole U.S. of A. buddy. You've gotta earn it and she lost. She started out with massive lead in all demographics but especially African American (I actually started as a Sen Clinton supporter and still like her) but her husband manage to offend many people and screw that up. She was the favorite, didn't have the best campaign and lost because she didn't take Barack seriously.

African American means an American of African ancestry.He clearly is American, he clearly has African ancestry.There are millions of Americans with ancestry from all over the world.That is why the Prefix- before American. Yes his foreparents didn't have the struggles of some African Americans.There are many African Americans whose parents came after slavery.However he is also half white. So technically he could be the 14th Irish/Scottish or first African American president. Just the facts.

Wether or not you agree with this or not. He is correct in Obama being the first black candidate in that he is the first viable candidate. None of the others have made it as far as Obama. I hate it when I see others attack someone for stating their opinion, EVERYONE is entitled to their own. Obviously he has not seen much that impresses him about Obama, for that matter neither have I. In all honesty I'm not impressed with either candidate so that just makes my decision that much harder.

The problem is that you already lumped Hillary and Obama together before you even did any analysis. You think you're an insider, but really that just makes you think all politicians are alike, or very very similar.
Just try to make distinctions, they are there. Especially in foreign policy. Even Ron Paul says Obama is probably the best for not spreading the war.
