A lot of people fail to realize slavery was not long ago at all...my dad was beat and teased in school..he went to an all white school..he made some white friends that stood up and protected him. I honor all my fam back to Aethiopia for all they went through..Give thanks to you! Jah Rastafari!
@LionessBlackMane u are right there has only been a century and some years when slavery ended. but like u say slavery really ended in the 60s or 70s because we were sill treated terribly.
I'm 32..my Dad is 61 he was picking cotton as a child along with his 13 bros & sis in Ark. Share cropping before moving to Boston,MA. His grandfather was a runaway Suggs slave. He was said to have killed a master and dog in North Carolina and ran to Ark. I did research on ancestory and have census and slavery documentation and rules attached to my family going all the way back to VA. Our families passed down some stories one being the ship, being Hebrew..everyone laughs they can't comprehend
