No bargain a straight rip off. They take your money without a gun and leave you with some crappy laptop that barely functions as described. In fact the advertisements are a total lie. Expect a piece of crap computer with even worse tech support, whose only job is to extract more money out of you. Average tech support call 1 hour and 45 minutes of pure aggravation. XPS is a junk computer I have one and am on the 6-8th replacement. Avoid Dell if you can xtra performance system anything but.

Great review! Would you definitely recommend the 9-cell battery for the XPS 15 laptop? Would it be worth the extra bulkiness and elevation? This is for University, gaming, surfing the web, movies,etc.

Hi. I just bought this exact computer. Im having issues with installing steam so I can play basically The Orange Box. Aside from that I installed and tried to play GTA4 and it was a joke. I was under the impression that this laptop could handle games being pretty decent for what it is. I wasnt looking to do hardcore gaming but games I could play while Im out of down and bored. What am I missing? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a question. I'm thinking about buying one, but with lower specs. Originally, it has a Intel i5 2410M (2,3 GHz with Turboboost 2,0-2,9 GHz), 4 GB DDR3 RAM and a 1GB Nvidia 525M. I can upgrade it to your machine, but it would cost me too much, but I wanna make a good investment. Will this suffice for casual gaming (new games on medium settings), internet browsing, listening to music,... or do you recommend upgrading for a 2GB GT 540M, 6GB of RAM and an i7 processor?

THIER is no driver incompatibility you dumbass, those games work fine on it that you mentioned your one is faulty, and it easily lasts 4.5 hours on the Internet and 5.5 offline and 3 playing graphically intense games like black ops and 160fps at full settings.

I have been shopping for laptops for my home business here in Montana. This Dell XPS 15 is pretty sweet and will handle everything I can imagine I would use it for. Plus, it has the Dell nameplate showing that it is a business workhorse.

Great review! As for why I think I should win this laptop, its because I'm love the new & powerful technology of this laptop. I'll use it to the max of its potential, test out every possible things it can do. You shouldn't use a laptop as good as this one just for normal everyday tasks. It's a total waste in my opinion if that's the case.

I've heard a lot of crap about Dell over the years, Having purchased about 15 new ones and 20 or so refurbished. I can say from my point of view they really have very few issues. A random drive failure or dvd problem.. but almost no machine failures. I'd love to have the money for my OWN xps.. but I tend to buy for others. Great Review!

I own a Dell Studio 15 and wish to purchase a new notebook preferably staying in the Dell family. Looking at the review it is clear that the XPS 15 is bulky. For a occasional gamer would you still recommend the XPS15, and in case of a regular gamer, isn't the Alienware a better option?

I really like the new line of XPSs. The old "Studio" XPS were lame. The build quality of Dell's XPS line is far superior to their Insperon line.
