There was a reinforced steel tubular shaft already in the ground....when I shoved this pole inside it, I would say it drops a good half a foot or so.....there is a vid I have up I think it was within the last four or five that I posted that shows me taking it out of the ground. I love it too, I wanted to be original although it was more out of desperation where it all started, lol

lol, i know what i'll be trying to do when the ground get soft from the rain! i cant put a pole up in my house so cant practice enough, apart from when im out try making most of the lamposts or anything like it! its not really the same thing!....
