My fav race is tau and i play 1 on 1 against insane CPUs.. I win in aproximately 10 minutes. The Fire Warriors are just incredible with some support.. such as Pathfinders (more Range) and Broadsides (against vihicles). IG is down pretty fast, because there infantry-units are weak and have no good range (just the granadelaunchers..)

@DasSchorty Actually in the IG we have 1 best of the best unit. The Kisrkis. DONT underestimate them cause they can own almost all of the light and heavy infantry in the game. Even fire warriors as they have long range.

tau player SUCKED at using them. thier best inf is thier fire warriors once u upgrade them (get the kroot tech path) plus aided by say 2 squads of battle suits and just a few armored units = win vs IG

Yeah hard's pretty damn easy, especially if you play as Tau. All you have to do is rush them with one squad of vespids and 3 fire warriors. Comps are terrible at handling rushes.

Dudes. this is a true story, warning you of the addictive side of this game..

I bought the package, which included the very first dawn of war and WA in the year when DC came out, and I fell in love with the game immediately.. So I played the DC for 2 years, nothing else.. and after months of gaming, I decided to try a all v all game with me as IG and others random insane computers.. it was insane.. the whole game took about 8 hours because I couldn't get army up, cause comps kept attacking..

Have a Friend with a DVD drive make a image from it, take it onto your PC via USB or network cable and open up the DVD-Image with Daemontools.

Try fighting with necrons against Tau, thats the hard part.Necron wars will NOT help you there, your only chance is flayed ones raiding on them while you take over some of their forces with golden machines and kill them at range with your heavies.You should also have a necron lord as a tank recieving their blows in nightbringer form.

my strategy is don't play necrons cause they're overpowered and cost 27 points per warrior

that's 2 tau fire warriors, or three imperial gaurdsman

My strategy is that you get the necron lord up first, then have your cute lil scarabs build up your base. Have them get the monolith to full strength by upping the summoning buildings, then after that, you bring the forbidden archive up and get your sexiful invisibility artifact. You then bring the monolith in WITH the necron lord (make sure he does not attack.) along with flayed ones and warriors and you get the monolith to kill powerful ones. Your warriors kill the buildings.

that tactic sucks noob now shut up, listen and listen good, what u need is to make 2 warrior,2 wariths, and the lord, send the wariths in first and back them up with the lord,next let the warriors just walk in and let them get as close as can be, then u tech, after u buy the tech u then buy the upgrade for warriors, then pimp your lord out

when i play as the necron on a large map i often use one plan if there are more than 3 armies stay out of the fight build turrets and monoliths only get the 3 closest posts close to your base and make a massive army use a lot of warriors and go on a rampage it will take a lot to stop it leave the tomb spyders at the base for defense with the turrets and then get the monolith moving regroup with the army and destroy all,i think it works quite well but it depends how you play i guess.
