Bloody stupid people, I am an atheist and I believe that banning burkas is against basic human rights, all that crap about degrading women by allowing them to cover their faces is so contradictory it makes me wanna puke. If I have a right to sunbathe topless and wear mini skirts why isn't she allowed to dress as she pleases! The only thing that is ever gonna come out of it is muslim women being locked at their homes because either their husbands won't let them out or they won't do it themselves

The veil is nothing but an ugly barrier between integration of muslim women and modern western culture. Islamic men may have been able to brainwash these poor women into believing they need to cover themselves but it has no place in our society.
Not to mention it's an unacceptable censor of identification which would never not be tollerated if it wasn't for the excuse of religious privilage

This is wicked. THese Muslim woman can decide for themselves what to wear. THis is no place for the state to get involved.
French/European Muslims can make their way to US soil for their freedoms back.
Obama already said that such a ban would never happen in American where we believe in our first ammendment right.
I welcome the Muslims and unlike the bigoted French I am not fearful of their beliefs and differences. Grow up Frenchies!

These muslim women want the same sharia law that DICTATES that they cover in Islamic Theocracies in our democracy yet demand the rights guaranteed under them.
You can't have your cake and eat it, too, it's as simple as that.
You are either an active participant in the democratic process, and the preservation of such, or you are not. Considering that the burka isn't even Islamic, I don't see what the fucking problem is.

Human right is violated just like it violated in Afganistan by Taliban where they force to wear burka but in France they force to wear bikini. May be they impose all girl in France must sex in public and wear bikini in Christian Church. Govt. should not violate UN resolution which is right to wear by own choice.
