You have to put on CLosed Captioning - it's hilarious. Googles own Closed Captioning translates the opening sentence as "Muhammed of the Sciences that who doing results administrators" and the restaurant menu as "space and that was what a was of what she may strip". WTF!?!

This looks awesome! Google Goggles is a cool name for a visual translator! When there are actual goggles involved I hope they'll do more than just translate! I'd expect a full HUD with features like zoom, night vision, infra-red and maybe X-Ray? I can't wait for when speech recognition and translation will lead to the Google Babble! (The logical choice of name rally after this and the whole Babel fish paradigm!)

babelshot app for iphone already does this. Pretty acurate if lightning and fonts are ok, and it uses google translator. But probably google will come up with better image recognition.
