The shortage is just as frustrating to us as it is to you. We actually use several different facilities to make our processed beef products, and have been spreading out the workload more to handle increased demand. We are also in the process of adding a completely new facility. Sales have continued to climb in 2011 and this time of year gets worse- we are working to have the new facility ready as quick as possible to help alleviate these problems in the future. We appreciate the feedback!
I've been wondering and wondering over the past twenty years at least how grass-fed beef ("fed and finished") compares--land and resource wise--to standard feedlot/factory cattle? Do you know of anyone who has crunched the numbers regarding land used for grass and water consumed on the one hand vis a vis land used for grass AND corn + soy for feed AND water for drinking + irrigation (tossing in expense for fuel, synthetic fertilizer, antibiotics and bicarb?
I am interested in buying some "Grassfed Beef"...had one question.
I have read that alot of places take their cattle off the grass fed and onto a grain diet to "tenderize" the meat and to remove any discoloring, odor and taste...
Is this a normal process for "Grass fed" cattle?
Does this have any effect on the Omega-3 / Omega-6 ratios in this little time?...Are other nutrients and vitamins lost during this time?
@helltrackrider Our cattle is grass-fed and grass-finished. Tenderness is determined by how the meat is handled after harvest. We wet-age our subprimal muscles for a minimum of 30 days with some cuts achieving 50 days of age before portion cutting.
The ratio of Omega 6:3 will go up very quickly. Beta Carotene and branch chain amino acids will fall out just like the Omega 3's.
Keeping cattle on high forage will make for very tender beef directly off grass.
Now why in the H. E. Doubletoothpicks is it taking you lot till early December to put up another batch of your pemmican? You've run out completely.
If your processor can't deliver, you need to cancel your contract and put out a bid for a new one or set up to do it yourself. It's called "capitalism". Is there a corrupt union involved or something?
I think what your doing is great and you provide an excellent service and product for millionaires. That's what one would have to be to feed a family of 5 with teenagers.
Excellent video! For those who think it's expensive, you can either pay a little more for quality food that supports your health, or you can buy government subsidized "cheap" food that is full of toxic hormones, antibiotics, and will cost you a lot of money at the doctor's in the long run.
Is the meat in your pemmican heated, and if so, do you know what temperature height it gets to? Also, the tallow or suet in your pemmican, what temperature might it have been raised to?
@danephillips check out under ground wellness meats. I ordered online 50 lbs of 87% ground beef, it came out to $5.64 a lb with tax and shipping. The 75% ground beef is cheaper. I made my first meatloaf ever yesterday, turned out great.
Amen to that. I've dropped 40 pounds in 6 months since switching to grass fed beef, free range eggs, raw milk and more exercise. US Wellness has great products.
love it guys my only question is why do some of your items, actually more than ever, seem imported from off the coast of austrailia. my concern is this--how do we know the practices over there? and how old is the meat? if i order i really want stuff YOU produce since you have been a leader in the field.
@doggieman1961 Demand has increased for their products, they are having trouble finding more US producers. It takes 3 years for a cow to reach full size on grass and only 18 months when fed a grain diet. If additional US producers switch to grass fed, I imagine that it'll take them a couple of years to bring them to market.
I can't wait to start purchasing your products for life! I appreciate your company for producing QUALITY meat, which is HEALTHY. I know we are all very thankful for all the great products you have, because you are taking great care to ensure we are getting food that will improve our health. Not loaded with antibiotics and Bovine growth hormone. Thanks again! I wouldn't have found your website if I didn't visit Kevin Trudeau's website and view all of his wonderful sponsor banners.
I truly believe this is the way God intended us to eat and for these animals to be treated right and respected. I am so thankful to have found US Wellness Meats, keep doing what your doing, thank you!
totally agree. its more than just doing good to the earth and animals its doing what god intended. makes me wonder what else he intended us to do that we've rejected.
The rich and powerful who are in the know eat healthily try to be drug and preservative free and conspiract theories propose are deliberately making the general population un healthy for profit . to become pharmaceutical dependent and even to create mass de population of the
world !!! Is so scarey yet people will buy the cheap option and the media and
governments are either ignoring it or actively supporting this regime
I am so thankful that I found your wonderful source of quality grass-fed meat without having to drive 30 minutes one-way to the nearest Whole Foods -- only to shop at a company employing a douchebag CEO who helped trash Medicare-for-all. Thanks to you guys, I am officially over that place. Can't wait to try your delicious raw Amish cheeses!
Great video. My family has been loyal, satisfied customers of US Wellness for years and HIGHLY recommend their meat to everyone we know. We have been into grass-fed meat for over a decade and were very happy to have found US Wellness many years ago.

@USWellnessMeats
I always assumed that grass-fed beef required much, much more land for pasturage than factory cattle.

Question is the difference between grass feed and grass finished.
Grass feed is still fed corn right before butching.Grass finish is beef fed grass only
