My only problem with this couple is the age difference, probably 15 years or more of an age difference. She looks like she's in her 20's and he's in his early 50's.
@JaneColdplay Each to her own I suppose. Personally the age difference doesn't worry me at all. As you get older you realise that it is of little consequence. If you love somebody their age or looks aren't really important. In real life Joanne Froggatt is 31 and Brendan Coyle is 48. I doubt that Mr Bates is in his fifties, more like his actual age I think really. They are a lovely couple and I hope that they eventually find happiness in series 3.
I wonder if Julian Fellows will write them happy - truly happy. I want Bates and Anna owning a hotel, with babies too. Thanks for posting these spoilers. I like that Anna has such a strong faith in them as a couple.

I hate Vera for what shes doing to Bates, the trailer implies they are still married if thats the case then I hope she gets killed by a tram and Bates gets all his money back to buy the little Hotel for Anna and the future kids. I hope Julian Fellows thinks this is a good idea.

I agree, Bates looks like someone used to chronic pain. Does he still feel hope? A few times he has seemed so sure and not it looks like he is giving up. Though Anna pushes through I can feel our general Bates-Anna hopes sinking with his spirits.
@blondchristbae It scares me that Bates can be so confident one moment and then the complete opposite the next. This is why he needs Anna; she'll help him keep his head on straight and not go to either extreme. He needs someone, in a way, to look after him. She's more than willing to do it, and from the very beginning, she was always trying to take care of him. Again, I think he feels like he needs to tackle this himself, and in the process, he pushes others away. C'mon Batesy, wake up! :P
I am so nervous for the next episode. Vera was so pissed when she found out Sir Richard had trapped her. She'll find another way, and like it shows in the preview for episode six, it'll be terrible. :S Goodness, this is only going to get worse before it gets better.

@ezzibbes Well, sometimes these clips that they show in the trailers are not always in context so i am hoping that he wasn't actually talking about meeting with Vera. Somehow though I just think that that there is a huge hurdle that they have yet to overcome. I'm hoping your theory is correct.
@buzzandjessie yeah, you're right. Bates looks stressed to the max. Anna, I think, is getting clearer and more strong. Go Anna! It's going to be like in Season 1 -- Anna's going to London to figure things out and kick ass! Don't give up hope!
@clarkindee Anna is looking a lot tougher, and I'm sure glad she is. I think she's always been tough, but now she's really fighting because she wants something more than she's ever wanted anything else. She really loves him, and I genuinely feel that he feels the exact same way about her. Bates, like he said in season one, "keeps himself to himself" and "may be hard to read at times," but that doesn't mean he doesn't have feelings. He gives up everything to be with Anna. This is true love. <3
