  • I have tried this technique, even with my husband trying to coach me, I say I know it will be fine, I know as soon as I see the kids and start teaching it will be fun. I know I will come home and I will take a great nap. but all the while the panic is growing, and my feet are trying to take me away.

    If I don't remember what calm is can I get there?

    Do You take CDPHP?

  • I do think the technique is helpful, I've seen it helping me in the past and its fun to see it so visually so now I can explain it better, and have it more clear in my mind.

  • thank you, i have severe anxiety over. thunderstorms. i watch the weather and if there are storms in the forecast within 500 miles of my house i think that i am going to die because they are moving towards my house. and i freak out and my body shuts-down. this helped allot i know have the courage to overcome my anxiety. by the way, i am 13.

  • can vitamins help with anxiety attacks? my doc put me on zoloft and been on 3 days so horrible im more anxious then before ..

  • I really appreciate and love your technique... other than that I can't seem to get past the part where we should be thinking as positively as possible (with best possible reults) and not taking into account, reality. Will imagining positive outcomes 10 or 15 or more minutes into the future necessarily result in a positive outcome(s)? Since when does thinking (dreaming up) a positive result actually end up as positive as you thought?

  • I wonder if you noticed in your examples of using the technique that you may have also shaped your future reality. Makes me wonder about using NLP methods to change your reality a la "The Secret". I'm very much into The Secret and have used it very succesfully to improve my professional life and living situation, but I can't help but wonder if NLP might not unleash the Law of Attraction much more forcefully.

    NLP technique fits perfectly with "The Secret" technique.

  • Wow. This is my first exposure to NLP for CBT. It really is a powerful technique. I'm using it for panic attacks along with the CBT techniques, I get out in front of it on the timeline, view the positive outcome and feel RELIEVED and the anxiety clears immediately.

    It seems that most anxiety techniques rely "floating above" oneself or disassociating with the present situation in some way to give a different (and maybe calmer) perspective. Recognizing that that was the key helped me quite a bit. Its hard at first but with practice it become easy as breathing.

  • Wicked! seriuosly man that was soo helpful. I was dreading work today and was also feeling down because another job i applied for were not getting back to me. Using this technique i instantly felt better and then i recieved 2 emails, one saying work was cancelld today, and another stating ive got an interview! :D

  • Thank you for this awesome video!! I have GAD. I'm having a hard time figuring out what it is exactly that I'm afraid of happening in the future. What do I do if there's something that I'm afraid WON'T happen in the future, and I want it to happen. What about if there's something I'm afraid of happening in the future, but I dont know when or where it will happen (anxiety attacks). I decided to trust my intuition and just pick some fears at random, and I did find some relief, so THANK YOU!!

  • I've only started getting anxiety/panic attacks for the last 6 days and was seriously hoping it wouldn't turn into a lifetime issue untill i decided to see what was available on YouTube. After watching ALL 9 of your videos i feel better in knowing there is a way to overcome this without the aid of drugs. I've just come back from seeing my medical pratitioner who prescribed me Lorazopam 2.5mg. NO THANKS.

  • Good job deciding not to take the drugs!

    after all the drugs will only make it worse. it helps for a little while but after, it will get worse and only causes more anxiety

  • thank you for this.Ive recently been diagnosed with GAD in the past week.i find that medication doesnt work for me..and im constantly anxious about anything..especially about my physical health.Ive been looking for answrs for a long time and ive found that techniques such as yours are a big help.I really appreciate people that actually want to help such as yourself.Keep up the good work i will be definetly trying your techniques :)
