The current infrastructure of the USA is entirely dependent upon oil and transportation. They create idiotic suburbs far from places of business and work, far beyond walking distance. Public transportation is all gas, not electric which is ridiculous.

Many of us are struggling to change all of this but it will take time.

Our best bet is to focus on algae oils. Renewable fossil fuels, mass produced. For plastic products - less pollution. But we need help not anger.
