I must say, I didn't read the manga but Father is a much better character than Dante. In the original series, they showed Dante as somewhat of a legend, but seeing as how they portray Father as nothing short of a god, Dante seems so insignificant in comparison.

@conectmaster same time, two different stories with the same characters. brotherhood is the anime adaptation of the manga, normal FMA is a curveball storyline compared to it. FMA is the 2003 series and brotherhood is the 2009 series, but they both happen at the same time in their world, just different stories.
