  • nvm. Tracklist: Amon Tobin - Easy Muffin

  • track name?

  • Toonami was always a part of my childhood. It made friday night's THAT much better seeing as how I was kind of a loser and didn't get out much. I'm 16 now and watching these intros have brought all the feelings back. All the good shows like the Dragon Ball series, Gundam, IGPX, Naruto, One Piece, etc. Plus CN had good shows like Johnny Bravo and Ed Ed and Eddy. Now CN is a disappointment. Kids these days just have no real sense for good cartoons, just stupid crap. Cheers to the 90s kids.

  • here is why they cut it most of the shows were from japan and were shows that would make u think u see the U.S.A don't want us to think they want to brainwash u with the pointless crap they have now so there it is the red pill but for most the blue pill is the in thing to do

  • cn killed my childhood

  • You cant say its not coming back no one knows but cn a guy who works there on twitter said stay tune in cartoon network march 30 at 8pm then in another post he said its something old school

  • @lilddonovandark where on twitter?

  • @kyoshi999666 andy merril

  • @lilddonovandark but even if they bring it back will it still be good? I mean quiet frankly they screwed up love justice o sorry I mean young justice which was a briliant idea almost impossible to screw up. So cartoon Network can screw anything up

  • @mrbigblack62 neo toonami has nothing to do with cartoon network they said

  • Song Name ??

  • Honestly, I didn't even watch the last year of Toonami. I agree with a lot of what this guy says in the video, but the shows were just not as exciting anymore. I think the end of DBZ and the end of broadcasting Gundam shows on Toonami is what lead to this dark world.

  • iwas born 1996 i grew up on toonami watching so much tv in my room when they killed toonami i lost a more than a tv program or a friend i lost toonami everyone did i hopr he comes back cause im stayin gold till he does im sure we all are

  • theres a possibility that toonami will be back because stuart snyder, the guy responisbile for killing toonami and making cartoon network really bad has just been fired and cartoon network is now taking up surveys on what they want cartoon network to bring back on what cartoon network reallly was.

  • I was born in 1997 so I LITERALLY grew up on Toonami. When I saw the final broadcast in 2008 I was heartbroken. And now 4-5 years later when I watch CN I can only watch about 5 minuets of any of the crap that is now being aired until I become annoyed and go on Youtube or any other website I can think about and I start watching the good shows. (DBZ, SailorMoon, Gundam, Dragonball, Batman Beyond, Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star and much, MUCH more.)

  • Thank you for not blaming Naruto for it's downfall. It really came down to money and low ratings. It seemed no one cared in the end at cartoon network, the way they shuffled toonami all over the place. I watched toonami since day one so seeing it die was really sad. It really is sad and now with aftermath I can love the glory days and some new shows. So kudos to the guys on that site for bringing toonami back... in any shape or form

  • I remember being in grade/middle school when Toonami was just taking off. Since I lived in the pacific coast (still here) and I had satellite that would mean they'd air Dragon Ball Z EXACTLY at 2 PM -- I wouldn't get out of school until like 2:30 PM or worse yet 3:30 PM! I remember feeling grateful that Wednesdays were always early release days (at about 1 PM) so I could catch up on Dragon Ball Z! I remember recording a shit-ton of episodes with my old '90s VCR (still works great). Good ol days!

  • 8:02 no wait comeback

  • Okay, I am SICK of people talking about Neotoonami!! Neotoonami is just an online website that is a big fail. Its not even affiliated with cartoon network. Who the fuck wants to watch toonami online?!? If I wanted to do that, I'd just watch them on tv sites! Stop bringing up neotoonami! It's just some bullshit!!

  • You guys realize Steve Blum misses doing this job. And when I saw him at AX 09 he said he met some fans and he had no idea how many lives Toonami had touched and he is willing to do Toonami again if CN stops being stupid.

  • i wonder whats tom doin right now

  • I'm excited for Neotoonami but why does no one know about Toonami Aftermath?

  • i really miss toonami, iremember coming home and fighting my brother for the tv to watch all of my favorite shows i remember all of the diferent shows that came on from DBZ all the way to code lyoko everytime i see stuf like toonami makes me just wish i could go back and watch it all again

  • whats the show at 3:48 called ?

  • @NJHpro Rurouni Kenshin

I'd Say watch Samurai X before watching the show if you don't know the story behind the show

  • After the Boston Bomb scare the original head of CN had to step down even though it was not his fault or his companies fault.

  • naruto killed toonami

  • PEOPLE!! NEOTOONAMI IS COMING. Be prepared... (◣_◢)

  • @MrBigblack62 go to the bottom of the page.... it says neotoonami is not related too cartoon network or any other turner broadcasting system

  • Comment removed

  • Funimation does a pretty good job with anime.

  • What you meen toonami never died. Dude they say the the same thing about elvis mj and 2 pac go ahead and find em

  • So basicly cartoon network got jelous of the better network lol

  • Tom was a hero in himself. His inspirational speeches molded my mind from a young age to be a good person.

  • oh wow those are very good points that it kinda bummed me out

  • while anime is some form is still around (newer, albeit worse pokemon incarnations, DBZ Kai, which while more visually pleasing, and in terms of voices tolerable, is censored to a point of neutering) it's not the same gritty violence that it once was. the edge is gone, and with it they have taken the souls of the series, because the networks are convinced that they should only cater to the very young. in reality, that was never the goal of anime, and in the process killed the genre as it was.

  • i think the obvious answer is for Cartoon Network to do with Anime what they did with classic cartoons, and make a separate channel dedicated solely to Toonami A-La Boomerang. What they should do is air anime dubbed, but also uncut, keeping the blood, violence, and cursing in the original manga. This would allow those of us who watch the japanese versions to get everything we expect out of our anime without sacrificing the english voices.

  • i miss toonami,i watched it growing up and its how i got into dbz, that dbz kai thing that nick is doing sucks ass,the orignal was better, man i miss tom T_T

  • I miss this so much... why did CN have to cancel it for... The shows these days are fucking retarded... I miss the old days. Cartoon-network will never be the same again.... I'd suggest to just use Netflix or Red-box near your local Lucky's Grocery store and rent them.. We will never forget Toonami it will be in our hearts...

  • Toonami didnt die on CartoonNetwork, CartoonNetwork died on toonami. Toonami is never dead, its just asleep...for now.

  • CURSE YOU CN FOR CANCELLING THE BEST SHOWS ON TV

  • toonami was the best ever and the fact cn dropped it makes me seriously want to cry

once toonami was dropped every single show that i loved was gone forever never to be seen on tv again :.-(...

  • And total drama island..... There was a episode where a girl ripped her shirt. all the did was censor it. Its a kids show during the day. I dont need my little brother trying to imagine what the breast look like. They are also starting to say words like crap, freaking, hell. I hope they cancel CN.

  • I miss toonami, i remember the days of coming home to school on fridays and watch toonami with my brother. Until I got punished for a month and when i turned on CN there was NO toonami. CN has gotten so gay and retarted in the last 3 years. Shows like Chowder, Adventure Time, Promblem Solvers, Regular Show, ALMOST NAKED ANIMALS is what made CN a terrible channel and soon its going to lead to its own downfall.

  • @B0rg2 I can watch Adventure time, and I find it funny! But Almost Naked Animals, Problem Solvers, and.... urgh!! Super secret for awesome!?! Or whatever the hell it's called? I mean, what happened to DBZ uncut, Bobobobobobo, One peice, All of that! (Not really Naruto)

  • @applejax89 Don't forget Teen Titans, JLU, etc etc etc.

  • @B0rg2 Regular show is OK

  • Comment removed

  • @B0rg2 not all the show on there now are bad i.e. ben 10, young justice and generator rex but your right cartoon network isn't as good as it once was

  • WAIT. IF they cancel Adult Swim, will they have 24/7 Shitty CN shows, or something different. :D

  • I loved how it was kind of scary to see TOM.

  • If he did come back, you realize TOM will be even more fruitier then he left.

Hed probably be a gay charachter with a different voice actor

  • im going to go to cartoon networks channel and tell them to bring toonami back

  • tom said until we meet again so he will be back lol

  • neotoonami google it

  • it is coming back

  • One of the only true and deep insights into the death of a titan of TV. I remember the years of coming home from school and watchign DBZ and Gundam and Outlaw Star.....I didnt learn of toonami's cancellation until a year after it happened. It was humbling to have been a fan of something our posteriority will never know and can never re-create. I would go as far to say that the shows taught me the value of morals and sacrifice for the greater good RIP Tom and Toonami Until we all surf the stars

  • EVERYONE PLEASE GO EMAIL CN AND MAYBE WE CAN GET THIS BACK! its worth a shot

  • yes really @ ohkamiluva4ever but they will continue the old eps of naruto then once they finsh again with the old naruto they will put on naruto shippuden

  • The first time I watched Gundam Wing was on Toonami! :')

  • me and my cousen was close because of this now we dont talk much since it is gone

  • that's. Not. True. Toonami. Is. Coming. Back if u read this subscribe. Me. N. I'll. Tell u. That. There. Coming. Back!!!

  • @GRAv111 REALLY!? :D will naruto come back to?

  • Well from what i heard, the president of cartoon network(he is gone) well he never liked anime so at some point he desided to take it off, dubbing can be the reason. now he is gone and idk about you guys many rumors have been going around about a revival of toonami. me and my friends are discussing this now!

  • The problem is though. Toonami didn't pay for the dubs or to import it. Funimation did that CN just aired it.

  • OMG. OMG! 2:57 is like a classic scene for me! I have that on tape from when my dad recorded the Cell Games! :D

  • Toonami is what introduced me to anime. So... HOLY CRAP, TODAY'S GENERATION IS MISSING OUT! D: Without Toonami to be here, today's generation will only be introduced to all of the stupid shows that exist today! Aw, those poor children... x"c

  • And at the end where TOM says 'Bang' That';s a Yu Yu Hakusho reference! Because Yusuke used to say that before he went off on a case!

  • @TheKitsuneHime Noooope. TOM was voice by Steve Blum, who also voiced Spike Spiegel of Cowboy Bebop, and THAT'S why he says bang. It was Spike's and TOM's last words.

  • @Joseph617McD Oh! I never saw Coyboy bebop so I never knew ^^'

  • omg I freaking love Rurouni Kenshin! They are making a new RK series and it should come out this November. Can't wait! :-D

  • And don't try to hack it or shut it down

  • Called neotoonami

  • I mean is that toonami will come back...... Just not under cn it will become a internet channel

  • One word:neotoonami

  • nick and cn now is gay and retarded, i like nick a little better because they still show spongebob, but im mad because they removed rugrats

  • Comment removed

  • Im sad that toonami is gone, but i watch the funimation channel on youtube. But if it wasn't for toonami, i wouldn't have been into anime. RIP toonami.

  • adult swim hasnt been good since the early days of Cowboy Bebop

  • what's the name of the beat in this video?

  • ..quality NETWORKS eventually died out too!

  • cartoon net.... I meant "C.N." is friggin pathetic w/LIVE ACTION shows and the appeal to just the 6-11 demographic instead of the multiple ages

  • you know guys i think when money problems occurred stupid cn decided to cut toonami for the air thats probably what really killed tom the crapy economy

  • I think that it's a mistake to say that Toonami introduced anime to the masses. I was watching anime on T.V. long before Cartoon Network. Shows like original Dragonball, Monster Rancher, Ronin Warriors, and even Sailor Moon were a part of my youth before TOM and Toonami came to be. It's also not the first time we had to deal with deeper plots. X-Men and SatAM Sonic, to name my favorites, had shown us this before. No, what Toonami had was something different, something special. It was...the best.

  • "Bang." That was Cartoon Network commiting suicide for removing the greatest thing they had

  • THEY HAD RUROUNI KENSHIN!? WTF!?

  • @Sporeadam Yeah you didn't know that? lol

  • CN died for me when Toonami went away and the Friday block not the third one the first two were good went away

  • At the end the phrase "see you space cowboy" is also the last thing you see on the final episode of Cowboy Bebop. I had stop watching CN around 2003, but only recently found out about the cancelation...I was majorly bumbed out when I saw the fond farwell from Tom. I occasionally look at it and it still bumbs me out. Toonami, you will be missed.

  • i disagree with you on adult swim dying, its actually growing. remember when cartoons were from 5 AM to 12 PM now there only from around 6:30 AM to 8 PM

  • I HEARD THAT IT WILL COME BACK THIS YEAR OR 2013 OR 2014 STAY GOLD.......BANG

  • @MrTomthekiller where did you hear that from? or who?

  • @BustingBabyBalls69 it on there you tube chanle

  • @MrTomthekiller So you actually think that the good old toonami will come back? Hopefully if it does come back he wont be lame and look the same way the last one looked. They just need to bring the old one back.

  • @BustingBabyBalls69 i know

  • @mfpluna that's also what Spike speigal said as he dies in the last episode of cowboy bebop

Six words describe cartoon network now and they are "Adventure time with Fin and Jake" who promo had the lyrics " Don't look at our crotches as we syncronize watches"

  • Gah that just leaves a bad ringing in my ears original japanese, and no dubbing blah, come on the dubbed version even have a better friggen wording and actually use funny jokes and swear words when its appropriate and timed right, I've heard alot of japanese version and they don't come near to the dubbed versions which actually sound alot better, sure their not original voice actors but at least you don't have to read a friggen book of subtitles to understand what the characters are saying.

  • what's that beat in the beginning? it's dope.

  • wow your right about everything if you think about it the internet most likely killed toonami and so if were to watch it you already saw it in japanese format and that would be a waste of money ......... wow i'll miss tom 1 tom 2 tom 3 and moltar R.I.P toonami

  • action cartoon. how hard is it to say ANIME

  • Dam...toonami was the only thing dat was worth watching...I was der 2 c da whole series of DBZ...it was wat I would look coward 2 on saturdays...it sucks dat dey let such a great show go...n Tom did make it more enjoyable with his comments.....CN blows now! :/

  • Well now its not on regular cable and now they have a realty fantasy show with real people

  • I used to watch Toonami... I'd watch Yu-Gi-Oh, Yu Yu Hakusho... the first Dragonball series... hell even Gundam... now I'm just like... what the hell is this crap they have on now? It sure as hell isn't what it used to be. The only thing I bothered to watch after that died on CN was YGO GX, Inuyasha, FMA and Case Closed/Detective Conan.

  • @PhoenixMoonStudio technically thats no cnn but adult swim which is like an adult version of toonami so it dosen;t count. the shows that cnn had were knd(kids next door) etc.

  • @a19t3 Yeah I know... basically the whole channel's kinda gone downhill which is why I just eventually stopped watching it. Or at least it was a couple years ago, I don't know about now. *Shrugs*

  • someone on the cn executives better put toonami back on or at least something like it or else theyre gonna loose all their viewers................and i dont know if im late or anything but when the hell did tom gain the ability to fly? i mean like he's always in a friggin spaceship!

  • @blazedingo I think they're just gonna eventually lose their viewers anyway, 'cuz all they put on for the most part is total crap... It pissed me off when they stopped showing/dubbing Case Closed too... -.- They're... at this point... getting to be no better than 4Kids... Because they're taking off all the good stuff and replacing it with total garbage...

  • Man i was born 1994, and i was watching toonami since day one, i watch it pretty much, almost everyday, just because, drangon ball, and drangon ball Z, so i been watching this shit all my life and too see this shit gone made me so mad.

They could of atleast kept it on the weekend like friday, thats when all lame shit on adlut swim come on then!

  • @eliangel100 I was born in 1993, so I understand everything your saying. Hell yea they show alot of garbage on fridays! Toonami was an entity. Somewhere you could gain knowledge at such a young age. Simply perfect for a child growing up. Dont you think so?

  • @Mc37mc81 I couldn't agree more I miss Toonami. I was a 1993 baby too :) I really hope it comes back, just like what this video says CN had no idea what it unleashed when they made Toonami :'( without it I honestly think anime wouldn't be in america accept for pokemon and other rarely kid targeted anime

  • @thetransformer17 i am ten and i was born near the end of the good age of cn

(i still got alittle bit of toonami and cn)

AND I HATE CN REAL AND CHOWDER AND FLAPJACK

  • I know the reason why he says bang at the end (most of u already know this so this is for the ones who dont) the voice actor for tom is steve blum who is also the voice actor of spike in cowboy bebop also one of the reasons why it says "See You, Space Cowboy" i really miss toonami, brings back memories of my childhood.

  • ive been told cartoon network got a new presidet that is killing it all the way it is

  • everything about toonami was fucking awesome, sometimes i wish i could go back in time to relive those moments

  • T.T made me cry, im one of the 97-08 watchers TOONAMI made a huge inspreation who I am and how i act, i even took Vegeta as rollmodle. RIP TOONAMI for ever in memory amen.

  • toonami is coming back as neotoonami but cn made its self fail to prepare for it

  • @deidara173 idk

  • I like how you included how Tom's awesome speeches and intros made toonami more than just a showtime. It was an experience, i felt it every time! Adrenaline rushes every time i saw the promos!

I agree with everything you said in this vid and it sucks that CN made this stupid mistake, though they are currently getting what they deserve for doing that heheh. So ya thanks for this vid =D

  • Regular show is the best thing on CN. Idk wuts the big deal about adventure time.

  • 3:48 BATTOUSAI THE FUCKING MANSLAYER!!!!! RIP Toonami.

  • i hadnt seen the toonami goodbye so the next time i was looking forward to what was left of tooami and it never showed i was soo sad

  • this...is...sad...i literally only watch cn for adventure time...

  • at 5:25

    "and" was spelled wrong "adn"

All in all nice video and rather reasonable theory.

  • Do you think CN regrets their decision???

  • those ASSES! how could they toonami was the best! I'll never for give CN NEVER! :(

  • Lol cartoonnetwork was #1 in the cartoon game until they cancled toonami. Besides Idk how they caouldn't start it around 3:30 or 4 and have it run until AdultSwim came on.

  • CN should just shutdown if they can't be original anymore and are using imports from canada and only canada why have shows with the same design and shows that arent imports from canada all tie into each with same plots after plots the only good thing on CN is adult swim.

  • F CN right now! unnatural history..dude wut would happen, total drama world tour and all its show ARE CRAP PUER CRAP I mean Who would watch this crap!? I for one agree with this vid and the memories and anime it gave me. BRING TOM AND TOONAMI BAC U CHEAP CN A**H*LES!

  • ive so many memories with toonami and the old cartoon networkkk..fuck the current cn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • jeez thats true while that isnt the only reason..fans now got more knowledge of the internet..and seeing anime on tv wouldint be to bad dubbed...but then you gotta censor it.. But if toonami ever announced it would be coming back in a Event i can swear to you for that day it would get views that rival its prime. though i dunno if it would stay that way..but i would love to watch anime on toonami even if i did see its original just for toonamis sake

  • to tell you the truth this generation suks soo much that they have reality tv in every channel so not only CN suks every channel suks now kids these days dont know the meaning of good anime so the beginning of the rock age began when toonami died and every channel started suking and the age of bad tv began!

  • R.I.P Toonami

  • Good times

  • i feel ya man i feel the same way as depressing ass it is toonami has no other choice but to die even if it got its own channel like you said many people would ignore the dubs or complain about the differences between tem and the sub

    R.I.P toonami

  • ah man I miss watching Rurouni Kenshin and Gundam Seed including DB and DBZ.

Because CN changed so much I wont even watch it anymore except my late at night anime... at like 12 am to 5 am. Toonami was main reason i watched T.V. and when it wasn't on there still was some great shows. Like Dexters Laboratory, and such.

  • to all friends and fans of toonami eventually cartoon network will have to put toonami back on the air when all the cartoons are replaced with real shows or other cartoons without a decent story needless to say cartoon network needs anime and cartoons like looney toons to survive and without them the channel will cease to be.

  • we have to band together and stand up to cartoonnetwork. everyone stand up to them and boycott their programming until they put toonami back on.

  • cartoonetwork will never be the same without toonami the good old days commin home watchin DBZ thumbs up if this is true

  • @khikashi1 hella yea bra, now CN is just a bunch of quer running on my T.V.

  • @khikashi1 Hell yea! I remeber those good old days, I dont understand why they can't bring back the good shows from toonami and the old cartoon network period. Fuck the future cartoons! They suck!

  • Well we gota remeber we are all growing up this is apart life once we all are in our 30s or 40s we gonna look at toonami and say man old memories rip toonami untilbwe meet again

  • hey, there is still hope, i think toonami should have its own channel and show all the classic animes, and they should have both the japanese dub (with very minor edits) and the original english dub as they were when toonami was still on the air.

  • @megaben99 i don't think they will do that.

  • @SEGASONICSEVEN

Until we meet again hasn't happened yet.

  • "until we meet again"

also i only watch dubbed anime (unless the anime i want to watch is only available subbed) but i am learning japanese because of toonami's death, so im pretty sure that if it started airing again, i'd probably just be watching the normal un dubbed animes by then. but you never know. TV died before toonami died, maybe around 2006 or 2007, but toonami dying made TV just laughable.

  • @Tonnaner I know all good things must come to an end but it wouldnt be fair for the kids born in the 2000's they never had a chance to experience the awesome shows and line-ups on toonami...its just not fair....

  • @hidoku92 yup. this generation will be sucked dry of the meanings of life through cartoons. now its just loud, nasty, annoying, and inappropriate shows. TV will die in about 3 years and then we will all throw them out the house and go back to going out side for enjoyment. :P YOU SUCK CARTOONNETWORK. I HOPE YOU BURN IN THE ASHES YOU LEFT.

  • Dude if there is a way to contact cn on this plz let me know thanks

  • All good things must come to an end, we have good memories of this wonderfull program so ty ht9900

  • dude u should show this to the priaseten of cartoonnetwork and they may be put it back pls show the praestan of CN pls theres nothing on tv PLS!!! i missz dbz dbgt naruto db every thing when i wach tv some times i cry because theres nothing on & i miss toonami

  • great video man i wish toonami was back with every single anime

R.I.P tonnami and every single Tom and maybe the last one

  • Great video man! I miss Toonami

I thank it for getting me into anime, and such great tites too!

  • awesome video made even better by the cowboy bebop allusion at the end

  • Great video man, And your right about the dubbing. One of the things that pisses me off these days are the elitist pricks who look down on dubs when watching toonami was probably what got them intrested in anime to begin with.

And you don't know how happy it made me to learn that cartoon network had its best ratings when Toonami was on because it gives me hope that cn will go back to it's old style so kids will be able to take in deeper storys and learn some life lessons like i did.

  • Why do u have to be an "elitist prick" because u enjoy subbed more than dubbed?

Get dubber's to find voice actor's with similar voices as the japanese counterpart for the character, or at least a voice that matches the character, get them to not change the storyline and dialogue to be appropiate

    Then maybe!

Most dubb's voice acting is over the top or robotic, which makes the anime lose emotion.

however some anime were better dubbed such as ruroni cuz subbed he sounds girly

  • When Tom died, a part of me went with him.

    T^T

  • Cartoon Network died as soon as Toonami started to only air for a few hours on one day and they started taking away shows that were actually good. CN, or CNReal as they call it, is the result of poor choice making. CN should never be called Cartoon Network because it will never be that amazing as Cartoon Network is. I pray the bring Toonami back. Hell, they could just play the anime in jap and have english subs. All they would have to do is get rights then, and get Tom and Sarah back of course

  • Toonami used to show everyday. then it shortened to saturday. then they cut it off completely. thats when all the live action B.S. started. Adult Swim is going down with the saturday night re-runs. its heading the same way. i thought it was money issues too. but what i've seen in that "dude what would happen?" and "destroy, build, destroy" programs. i say money is just 1 problem they had with it

  • Comment removed

  • Hell the death of Toonami ended all that was good on tv.

  • Toonami was the birth child of teenage tv

    and epic presentation

....and with its death it ended the golden age of anime on tv.

    R.I.P. Toonami

  • beautiful man

just makes me want to go back to the good times when anime was good and not loaded with crappy fillers. CN is falling off the air massively because its loosing its cartoons and nick has gone down the drain. the only thing keeping nick alive is spongebob and teen nick.

    the video was awsome man

  • ever since toonami ended i havnt been watching anime. the only thing i watch on tv is sports, X-play, and AOTS

  • Thats fuckin bullshit, I hate how TV sucks now, Nick and CN both have the gayest suckiest, worst, just god awful shows. I miss Toonami, and Kids WB, and old nickelodeon where slime was there thing

  • @Jiraiya55 I agree Nick should just let all live action crap go to TeenNick and rerun the besties like Rugrats

  • exactly.
