  • this sounds more like paul's demo of the song, where his voice was tempo-ed and added this unknown band in this version.

    great version

  • McCartney composed it, but Peter and Gordon popularized it. IT'S NOT A BEATLES COVER tanga!

  • pedazo de estupido aprende a escribir, no es un cover es un cover al estilo beatle pedazo de mierda mas bien grandi§ima mierda

  • Paul McCartney wrote this song and give it to peter & Gordon =)

  • a really bad cover.

don't sell it as a beatles cover, liar.

  • haha this is a riot. It's not even the right chords. What are they trying to play for the third chord? They should have at least gotten the bass player and guitarists to agree on the same key.

  • @horribleHerb13

He put the word COVER in CAPITALS, did not give you a slight hint that this might not be The Beatles?

  • hahaha at least it got me here under false pretences, still a quality song :)

  • "A World Without Love" is one of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll.

McCartney did not think the song was good enough for The Beatles.[2] Prior to giving the song to Peter and Gordon,

This song was never released by the Beatles and the only known recording of the song by any member of the Beatles is the original demo of the song performed by McCartney which is now in the possession of Peter Asher.

  • this is lennon/McCarthney song

but its a peter & gordon hit

  • This is not the Beatles, mr jttc008 genius. you must be about 12 years old. omg.

  • Folks...it makes sense to do some research before you make commentary to call someone retarded and in turn become the idiot. THIS WAS WRITTEN BY PAUL MCCARTNEY. If the Beatles did any recorded version it would never be considered a cover. As for this being the Beatles.... hmmm, doesn't really sound like them. maybe a bad demo from a stoned out night in a cheap studio... Im presuming jtc008 is around 15 years old. If not, stop commenting like you are.

  • Paul is lead singer on this tune. You can hear John on back up vocals. Also the Beatles wrote this song. I can also hear George's guitar style.

  • May be they are.....the vocalist strongly reminds John Lennon, but not absolutely sure

  • @Ricciariello

    Retard!!

The singer sounds more like Paul than John, but as the title tells you it's NOT The Beatles!!

  • this isnt the beatles but not bad at all haha

  • Jeez simmer down......its only a feckin song..

  • I HATE THE BEATLES

  • @josaturated Everyone hates you.

  • @josaturated hey fuck you man. gtfo or stay and shut up.

  • Where Can I find Beatle version ?

  • people familiar with the voice of the beatles will agree 100% that this is not them.!!!

  • Not the Beatles...

  • It sounds alright BUT it's not cool to disappoint people like this man NOT COOL!!!!

  • sounds like some country singer

  • D U M B !!! people! No Beatles voices, No Beatles sound, no instruments !!!!!!!!

  • what a great hoax

  • @mastalayne no hoax, beatles wrote it, gave it to Peter and Gordon to release, it was a hit for them. The beatles had also wanted to write for others, all of them did it, generally with songs that either were backed up due to having too many for an album or not thinking they would get good enough returns on them.

Check out the early Rolling Stones. They wrote a couple for them as well.

  • Los Beatles NUNCA interpretaron world without love, solo es composición Lennon McCartney.

  • los beatles escribian las canciones de Peter & Gordon -____-

    Translatee!

  • John and Paul wrote it for Peter and Gordon as it was an extra song and they had their singles and albums full, and wanted to get it to market. It was perfect for Peter and Gordon and boosted their careers.

  • @pacificwesttube As I understand it, this was one of those songs credited to Lennon/McCartney but basically written by McCartney. While there are some harmonic things I doubt George Martin would have allowed in this cover, the basic feel of this cover is very close to the original Beatles sound in 1963-1964. If they had done a cover of it, it might very well have sounded very similar to this...

  • ...poorly worded title; reason for the confusion... good intentions and thanks for posting but truth of the matter is that the title leads to think, even if for a moment, that it's the Beatles covering the tune... Constructive criticism, just sayin'... Peace :)

  • @kingMackson7

Why are paul/john credited as the song writers then?

  • @admrob i could b wrong, alot of the rising stars at the time were short lived.the beatles couldve bought the rights,of course they were the best.alot of buying and selling music went on with them as well.just my speculation from the history ive learned and from my dad who is passed away and was one of those rising stars along with my uncle in those times. look up Peter and Gordon, it seems I read this somewhere and The Beatles did do cover songs too.somewhere, somehow I was convinced of this.

  • It's from the CD Songs The Beatles wrote but never recorded.

  • Is a tipical McCartney melody, beatiful

  • Buen intento. Pero me sigue gustando más la versión de Peter & Gordon.

  • paul mccartney wrote the song orginally

  • This music is not the Beatles

  • Obviously it is not the Beatles, since the Beatles never recorded this song. Well, at least not the whole band; McCartney performed this song alone. But yes, it was written by McCartney; and made famous by Peter & Gordon I believe. This cover isn't too bad, but in no way could it be mistaken for the great Beatles.

  • A World Without Love was composed by Paul McCartney (attributed to Lennon/McCartney). The Beatles never released a recording of it. In fact, the only known recording of this song by a member of the group is Paul's demo track.

  • Well, really Lennon had nothing to do with this song. It's a MCCartney song.

  • john had nothing to do with this song all paul the other beatles rejected it !

  • THEY ARENT THE BEATLES

  • To the drummer of this sucky band. at 23 secounds Ringo would never use a crash cymble the way you did.

  • Misleading title, and misleading beatle pictures in the video, good cover though.

  • This is a beatles cover. why is everyone arguing? Lesmac1000 is correct. This isn't the finished piece. it says it wasn't released.

  • A testament to creative brilliance is knowing to when to reject a bad idea. Business savvy says sell it to someone else.

Calling this a cover is completely confusing, but I guess it's generated views. I isn't a cover of a song unless it's been released by another artist. Topping with pictures of the Beatles who aren't even singing (and from the looks of it, 3 out of 4 weren't involved at all) is just frustrating.

  • Sounds like Mc to me (singing)

  • THIS IS SO NOT THE BEATLES I TOTALLY DISLIKE IT. NOT THE SONG THE PEOPLE WHO SING IT. AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH HUH

  • @SavedNetwork you're correct!!!, please! everybody, listen carefully, it isn't a beatle version, it is the unfinished song (or demo, i don't know) v=ShsIqEcn7d4 , 'cause is a Lennon/McCartney

  • WHAT DID YOU DO WITH MY BEATLES?!?! Damn impostor wanna be Beatles...

  • the beatles are not covering this song paul mcCartney wrote it when he was 16 and they thought it was to innapropite for the beatles so paul offered it to his girlfriend jane asher she gave it to her brother peter then the song was peter and gordons debut single

  • Is everybody here retarded? It clearly says that it is a Beatles COVER. As in NOT the Beatles. John Lennon and Paul McCartney (of the Beatles) wrote the song and this is a COVER as it says in the title. Does it really have to be broken down for you?

  • @jltc008 No need to get nasty. I'll bet there's a few things u don't know...don't think that makes u retarded...or does it? "Beatles cover" does seem to indicate that it is a Beatles cover of a Peter and Gordon song. We know the history so we know that it's obviously not them BUT some younger people wouldn't know. Paul was dating Peter's sister Jane and gave the song to Peter and Gordon who did a great job on it.

  • @jltc008 Lennon/McCartney wrote this song for Jane Asher's brother who was the founder of the duet Peter and Gordon. And Peter and Gordon recored it originally. Meaning that if The Beatles had done this song it would have been a COVER of it. No, this is not The Beatles but at the same time the title that the person has is somewhat confusing for someone who didn't know. There is no need for name calling. Thank you!

  • @jltc008 It's false advertising!!! We all know Paul McCartney wrote it and we all saw this thinking that he was singing it in some unreleased version. I want the moments of my life back!

  • @jltc008 So what are you getting at?

  • This NOT THE BEATLES!!

  • why in the world did you post this group singing The Beatles anyway? BOOO!! Bye

  • This is most surely NOT The Beatles! What the hell?

  • @skysky130

    Maybe The Rutles....?

  • @NickJw55 Oh, I wouldn't know about that. I've never heard the way they sound, but it could be a possiblity. :) That's just not The Beatles.

  • its McCartneys song but he didnt sing it

  • NMCBALKF';l

  • Not the Beatles, but a cool version, nonetheless.

Cool bass parts including different chord/note toward the beginning

of the verse. Sounds cool and this is an innovative version. FuckYou! lol.

  • Sounds like some kind of Beatles cover band. They add things from earlier Beatle days to try to sound authentic. It's likeable, but not the way it might've been. I imagine any real Beatles version would've be more like Peter and Gordon's.

  • NOT THE BEATLES!!!!!

  • This is not the Beatles!

  • I think the band covering this song could be the VILETONES from TORONTO CANADA

  • Whoever they are, they have taken it upon themselves to change the chords.

  • Peter Asher has a demo of the song "A World Without Love" recorded by Paul McCartney in 1964. That is the only version of the song by any of The Beatles. It remains unreleased. Peter and Gordon reached number one with their version in 1964 on the Billboard and Cash Box charts. Billy Graham also commented on this song in one of his televised stadium sermons. Foreshadowed "Eleanor Rigby" and "All You Need is Love" and "The Word". Similar to "Can't Buy Me Love".

  • This is not the beatles. They are way better singers than that.Beatlemania!!!!!!!!!

  • This is definitely NOT the Beatles!

  • this song was WRITTEN by paul mccartney in 1964 but released by "Peter & Gordon"

    (via Wiki)

  • Not The Beatles. This cover is from the CD Songs The Beatles Wrote But Never Recorded.

  • la hubiera canata do george pero muy buena

aunque el de peter- gordon es mejor

pero va por hay pail le pone su estilo en voz

  • This is Jez and the Jezztones. All the subtlety of a brick being thrown through a window.

  • beatles cover band, its a modern version probably recorded in the late 90s, to sound like the early 60s, but it aint,

  • I've got no idea who this is, but I like it.

  • se la comio paul con esta cancion son lo maximo vivan los BEATLES de san felix venezuela emilio farias fan #1....

  • Beatles my ass!

  • You say, in your description, you don't know who sang this song. I read, on SecondHandSongs(dot)com that Gerry & the Pacemakers recorded this song. Could it be them? I cannot find any mp3 clips to listen to, but it sounds more like them than the Beatles.

    ~ Barry

  • This is never ever the Beatles - to clean for a 64 Demo.

AND such electrical guitar with distortion solos did not exist by the beatles until 66 and later, and anyway, never so clean. Recording is to clean. Do not be faked, this is not the Beatles..

    cheers

    Thomas

  • that is not the Beatles singing! No way!

  • @funkychicken49 was just thinking the same mate

  • @funkychicken49 Is a Macca Song or knows as Lost Song

  • @funkychicken49 yea my friend never nerver could be the beatles singing

  • @funkychicken49 I know it's not the beatles voice but they wrote the song. Still, people love it :P

  • Obviously _not_ the Beatles, but not a bad cover. Wonder why Billy J. Kramer turned this one down? Thanks for posting.

  • Like the song for what it is, but the vocals themselves don't say Beatles. The harmonics just aren't right. I like the cover, don't get me wrong, but none of the voices seem to be Paul, John or George.

It'd be awesome to hear Paul's demo... But that's something for Macca, EMI, Peter Asher and the other powers-that-be to decide.

  • To clear this up a bit.

The Beatles NEVER released this song. The only known recording is a demo performed by Paul McCartney which is in the posession of Peter Asher. So I doubt this is them. The song was written by Paul though, credited to Lennon/McCartney. Paul didn't feel it was upto beatles standards. So it was offered to Billy J. Kramer who declined(only god knows why anyone would decline beatles lyrics), and then given to english duo Peter and Gordon.

So I highly HIGHLY doubt this is em.

  • Oh my god!

I've been a Beatles fan for years and I prctically heard all their songs. For years I've been hunting for a new Beatles song that I've never heard so I began doubting that there was a "secret song", now I discover this song! This makes up my month and it has a really weird sad modern sound-very unusual Beatles soung, but I know it is the Beatles. Where could I get the album with this song, where??????????????????? DOES ANY BODY KNOW WHAT ALBUM THIS IS?????????

  • The beatles used to write a few songs for other artists, specifically in the early to mid 60s. There are demo versions of most of the beate originals, this is another group singing. You can find most of the songs on youtube. good luck hunting!

  • I heard a song called "Gonna be Alright" once on a Beatles bootleg. Brilliant song, sounded just like them. ALWAYS wanted to meet Paul so I could ask him if it was real, man (or woman)

  • That was recorded by Gerry & the Pacemakers, if I'm thinking of the same one

  • I know Gerry & The Pacemakers did record a song with that title but the one I heard was nothing like this. Whole different thing, beat, lyrics (i.e - Forever, you'll be in my heart, forever, then we will part, forever, I'll be on my own, forever, I'm gonna cry cry cry cry cry, it's gonna be alright, when you're by my side, don't ask me why, when tomorrow comes etc)

The one I heard, I'm pretty sure was the Beatles, or at least an incredible cover band writing their own Beatles songs?!

  • this is not a beatles song, if you are a real fan you must know. this sounds to me like that group that make beatles covers..the fab four i think is their name. ive seen them many times. but yes, it was a lennon mc cartney song (pauls)but they gave it to peter and gordon(by that time peter asher was his brother in law) and thats it!! it is not a new song.

  • Sounds like a swedish singer, note the pron. on love-/wait-/come.. I think ,tages-shanes or maybe hep-stars? did a version?!

  • good song - was it the beatles, who cares, good song but all you experts (and i use that term very loosely) are looking too deeply into this. its 3am - and i'm very drunk and good music matters - not which human being was lucky enough to stumble into writing it

  • paul mccartneys demo of this song is up on youtube also up on youtube is a wings outtake called relax in bed the singer on this world with out love i think its peter noone check out rocky raccoon the continuing story its the sequel song to the beatles song check out the song you silly doggie check out danny boy sung by jim reeves and joni james its a fake duet i put together

  • it sounds like paul but it doesnt at the same time....

  • Sorry but it doesn't sound anything like Paul...It is a nice version, but nothing like the original ,and not done by any of the Beatles....C'mon People...Listen to the voice intonations.....!!!!!! And by the recording sound, this has been made in the seventies, or later with the vintage sound... Sorry but No Macca or Fab Four here....Apart from, it is an original McCartney song written by Paul .....Sorry to bust the bobble,,,,So you are half right....It ain't Paul.....

  • yeah i kinda figured that out lol

  • Impressive!! The voice and arragements sounds almost identical to the nowadays Paul McCartney!

  • its good. its not the beatles, tho

  • No son los Beatles. El audio y los instrumentos son demasiado modernos para 1963-64 que salió la canción

  • amo el solo de guitarra 1:29...

  • Another non-Beatle L/Mc song (from a window) was credited to Bas Muys. Maybe him? A couple of chord mistakes in this otherwise a good recording.

  • Who are these guys????!!!

  • I wish somebody would let me know who this group is REALLY ! I know it's not the Beatles, but whoever it is I'd like to hear so I could catch their act sometime or contact them and buy their CD.

    Anybody out there know anything?

  • ya who is this?

  • Is this really The Beatles? Good tempo 'whoever' released it.

If this is NOT the real Beatles, the band who DID record this and put it up on YouTube should be happy they sound so good. Whoever it is, I'd like to catch their live show.

    What's up?

  • Not Beatles for sure.

  • This is a good song why does no one listen to it maybe if the person who put it on here just put the beatles - a world without love then people would watch it we don't give a fuck who released the fucking thing
