Let me just say that this is pretty much one of my favorite songs ever.... holy crap, Nauru sounds awesome. Also, I wrote a twenty page paper a little under two years ago about development strategies in Nauru and have read all about the history and politics and stuff.... I have no idea why, but I am fascinated by the place. All the best from Washington, DC!

I lived in Nauru in 1977.  Got attached to a local nauruan. We 're so closed we treated 1 another brothers. I left the island home. I sent letters and he repied all. Then he stopped answering my letters. he became one of a beloved pastor so closed to LORD JESUS. I REALLY WONDER WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM. i asked anybody please tell me if you know him. I believe they have started mining again in a small way. The royalty money should be invested for ALL Nauruans and not paid to Tribal Leaders who gamble the money away.

i was in nauru for 2 years 2002-2004 it was the most beautiful country i have ever seen i wish i was nauruan somtimes i wish people all the best i had a local girlfriend if any naurans are watching this her name was Adalane Depone she lived in burdar district she has a mother named mona and a sister named tikon i always wonder how they are her family made me feel like a member of theres if you see them say hi from beau (me) for me

I would love to live in the Pacific, but as I understand it Nauru has some economic problems. I'm sure they will get resolved with time, though. Great video.

Agreed on the Heavenon earth, Except of course its Power shortages, But that gives me time to in daytime Play with my Cuzins and at night time travel around , its fun that place is, Also i live at the ONE house that has a pool, but seeing how dirty it is we cleaned it out a lil then put Fishies in dea, now we have our own Fishie Pool! Well I'm amazed! I took the photo of the Nauruan Sunset back in 1975. Nauru had some very spectacular sunsets but I was startled to see the sunset on this particular evening. I raced home from the SPQ canteen, got my camera and raced back to the canteen and took the shot! Some of my Nauruan photos (incl the sunset) are now in Wikipedia.
