  • These old banjos have a great characteristic: they sound like 100dB with hardly any picking effort. Sounds a lot like Earl's banjo as far as power and tone.

  • I want my banjo to sound big and fat like that!

  • Very nice

  • Does it have a flathead tone ring or the round one? Amazing sound if it is the round tone ring. I wouldn't cut that rim at all for a flathead ring.

  • @banjojohnny28 a round one? i think you mean is it a raised head or a flat head?

  • How long did it take you to learn to play the banjo? Did you start with a guitar first?

  • Man that thing is a freakin' monster!

  • That's a really good sounding banjo. Those chimes at the end cut like a knife!

  • Yep, that sums it up. Us banjo pickers' lifetime dream to even get to pick one.

  • this is the banjo sound that I try to capture: grating lows, pure mids, and bursting, chewy highs. This banjo has all those things, and I enjoyed this vid tremendously! Please post more of this banjo soon!!

  • Can't beat the tone of an old RB 11. Sound straight out of the 40's or 50's with that fellow pickin it. Very nice.
