My utitlities are: a white 2D clock on a black lock screen and 5 icons displayed sliding to another 5 or more that I want like shortcuts, 5 big icons instead of 4, animated zoom out folders with I think 320 icons on each folder and the ability to have folders within folders, the ability to play flash... we'll with 4.2.1 it won't work but with 4.1 I heard it works but I can't downgrade without reinstalling everything.......

@aaroncar what are u talking about. Apple is one of Adobe's biggest funders. They've poured millions in for years. It is simply a matter of Apple not wanting to take up space with flash and slow down the devices. Personally, i think that the iOS current platform cannot support it securely. I think that they would have to release so major updates just to get flash to Android Level, which still is not suitable for tablets.

Nvm Windows Phone 7 has an Appstore and no flash support also. All these phones are horrible. Better just to get an Android. I got an iPhone 4 but at times I need flash but I can't get it.

I see why Apple won't support flash unless it's App Store flash apps. People will just play web based flash games and not use the App store as much significantly to hurt their income and income of App Store flash app developers. No need to use Zynga Poker app, which is horrible compared to the web version, and other apps when it can be used online for free. It's all about making money. I'm going Windows Phone 7.

@AntDX316 exactly. Except why is it that the iOS platform is faster than most Android Versions? Simple, flash is taking up space. I love flash, but Apple really needs to make improvements to the OS before they can ever release even the slightest version of flash. Even with Android, you aren't getting full support.

I didn't get unneccessary utilities like themes that make it look personalized, I got necessary utilities that make it operate closer to a Windows PC but without the complicatedness

I think other manufacturers pay monthly to not implement flash. With flash the iphone would dominate causing other manufacturers to near bankruptcy. Without flash the iphone would be equal.

I can't believe that the appeal of porting Flash to iPad is to play games!!!!! The only reason I want Flash on iPad is so I can see some of those crapy websites that still use it … :(  … On the other hand thanks for the hard work!!! BTW Adobe has recently released hardware accelerated Flash version for newer Macs. (Flash 10+ "Gala" beta version)

@webduelist Youtube, facebook, hulu etc. have custom apps for mobile devices so the good sites that use Flash are covered. Then there are those company websites insist on Flash for everything including text … ie. the crappy websites. HTML5 as it stands now is very well implemented in Safari or Chrome and uses way less resources than Flash on Mac/Linux/Unix machines!!! Flash is well implemented only on Windows, and HTML5 sucks in IE and Firefox2. (btw YouTube allows you to bypass Flash.)

@RadoDani only on some videos does youtube allow you to bypass flash, also hulu has a freeapp but you have to pay for service, with flash you could play facebook games and videos. on the ipad it would be nice to have full internet not just mobile and non flash versions.

@webduelist Hmm … you might be right about the hulu and yes YouTube does not yet allow 100% flash bypass on iOS. Flash is unfortunately necessary for full web experience, but Adobe submitted several times their Flash version for iPhone and it sucked (resources) everytime. Only recently I see some progress with better flash programming for OS X (but not for Linux). Frash is not ideal but better than nothing. It is a pity that us consumers are caught in the crossfire between Apple and Adobe

@sonic26000 Jailbreaking is 100% reversable and not dangerous. Installing Frash is also safe. Frash itself may crash, but it won't bring down Safari, so there's really no danger...

At least it gives users more freedom of choice. Because of Flash's ubiquitousness, I don't believe Flash gaming will ever hurt the app market. A dedicated app will have more potential (at least in the short term) to be a better experience than a Flash game.

The fun of the StrongBad videos is hovering the mouse over them to reveal the secrets, but this won't work with a touch-screen. There should be a way where touching the screen synthesises a mouse pointer and a double-touch acts as a click. Otherwise Flash games that react to moving a mouse without clicking wouldn't work.
