And Ice Form Regigigas would be just plain stupid! Hello! It's called Regice? The chances of that are highly unlikely! I don't like the new giratina form. I'm an originalist. And mine is a tank, you can't take it out easily as a giratina is a defense specialist based on how its base stats stack. This one looks to attack formish...

It's design is too different which leads to believe it has multiple forms in this game such as deoxys. Just speculation here but it would make sense for the radical design differences you mention.

you know, i thought about why they would make giratina the base of the game, i mean, everyone who playes diamond or pearl have a giratina. but now that it has the ability to levitate, it makes the old giratina obsolete, and unwanted.

No it doesn't. This giratina form would be attack based given the look so levitate would suit it. The original is a defense/annoyer specialist so pressure better suits it to widdle down pp and draw out the battle in competetive speaking terms.

Maybe this game will be released in the US Q2 2009. Giratina has his new Origin Form. Who will be the gym leader in Sunyshore City? There is also a new Frontier Island any other than facing off with Tower Tycoon Palmer. Lucas and Dawn have new outfits too. It's an all out bash in this new special edition in Pokemon Platinum Version.

Dose anyone know yet if both Dialga and Palkia will be catchable in Platinum? Kyogre and Groudon were both catchable in Emerald. And I've seen the screenshot of both Dialga and Palkia at the Spear Pillar along with Giratina, so Im hoping that both wii be catchable this time.

I think they'll both be available, it would make sense. I think what'll happen is that Giratina will the one you capture at Spear Pillar, because a Japanese screenshot on Wikipedia shows a battle with a Lv. 47 Giratina (which is the level Dialga and Palkia are at Spear Pillar in Diamond and Pearl.) Then Dialga and Palkia will be available after the Elite Four, in different places, like Kyogre and Groudon were.

I like Giratinas old form better, but this one is cool too. I bet its gonna be like Emerald, where the first two mascots battle each other at the climax, and then the third mascot, the "Peacebringer" of some sorts, comes to stop it all. And then, after getting the National Dex, you can get Dialga and Palkia at level 70 or something, just like Emerald! what do you think, huh?

If you look at the screenshots at Serebii, it does look like something of the sort. Dialga and Palkia appear at Spear Pillar (Cyrus couldn't have brought both, could he have?!...), then Giratina comes through a Dimension Hole in front of Cyrus. I have 2 theories:

1) Cyrus used Dialga and Palkia to get to Giratina.

2) Cyrus simply got Dialga and Palkia, and Giratina comes to stop him, somehow goes crazy, and you have to fight him.
