there is another way of cloning your pokemon in silver, but i dont no if it will work on gold or crystal...

stand by the computer, and save your game. then put the pokemon you want to clone into a box. then, go to change the box... and wen it says at the bottom of the screen -

"saving... dont turn off the power" turn your console off afta the "saving... dont" appears...

turn your console bak on, and you will hav that pokemon in your party, AND the box you placed it in... hope tht helps!

First - Your gonna need to find the thinnest pair of needle nose pliers and unscrew weird screw on the back

Second - Slide the back of the cartridge and take out the game chip

Third - This is the most important part - You need to carefully take the metal tabs off the battery but DO NOT remove them completely because the game wont work without them

Fourth - Replace the battery, reattatch the metal tabs, close it up, and put the screw back in
