The fight system seems really similar to the one in Olympus Coliseum in Re:Coded. Did Square do that on purpose?

The battle system stressed me out at the beginning but then I got used to it and now I'm almost about to finish the game. However, I do prefer the normal battle mode since it's easier and needs less strategy. I'm a straight forward warrior, but this game was cool.

The cards only seem confusing at first. Soon after playing, you realize that it isn't as hard as it seems and it even grows on you. I loooveed playing the gameboy advanced version of this in school. I couldn't get enough--that in itself says enough about how good the game is as a whole. You get used to the cards, even if at first it's foreign. o_o

The card system works like this: Cards with keyblades are attack cards; the higher the number the harder to break. Cards with other character pictures (Like Donald & Goofy) are Summons. The magic cards are just like the attack cards. Cards which have bronze colored numbers disappear after you use them.

If it still sounds confusing you'd have to play it for yourself.

For those who hate the battle system or say ittoo complicated or unrealistic. Square never cared about being realistic. Look at the storyline of any of their games and try to make it logical Thats why i love Square. In a quote from Tetsuya Nomura. They call him Squall at the beginning of the first game. The reason they gave for not calling him Squall throughout is because he felt so much guilt over what happened to his homeworld that to escape his past he changed his name to Leon. Not the best excuse but we can deal.
