i own several versions of this trick. The best I have come across is the Gene Anderson and the no Tear version. Both were shown here and are done live. Not every effect is dont in front of a camera, you know. All of these are real tears and are very much able to be performed live!

The secret is he started with a newspaper, tore it up, and played the video in reverse.

@tonyh189 no i have seen this live, its definately not that. It has somehting to do with splitting the newspaper into the two separate pieces

@spammerify Yea, but this isn't live, and they're so many camera changes in this video that he could have gone through 40 sheets of newspaper for this one segment. And you can definitely tell parts are played in reverse, the movements are clearly backwards...
