  • Probably my favorite Gram Parsons song. First heard it being covered by Ryan Adams on a Tribute Concert. Have loved both Gram and Ryan from that day forward. Simply beautiful.

  • Here is the address for the studio version:

  • Wow! This is so special. So sweet.

  • we played this song at my brother's funeral. he had mentioned it before he died. so beautiful.

  • i grew up with this fine music and yet did not comprehend the subtle beauty better late than never

  • damn it man!!!!! the only decent fucking copy of this song was taken off youtube!!!!! im not gonna bash this video too hard but fuck the quality sucks!!!! and yeah i know its live and what year it was probably recorded so no dumb ass replies but if someone finds a decent studio version with emmy lou then give this honkey a heads up

  • Is this version still available as a bootleg or even legally?

  • what an amazing cut....

  • I love this song.

  • Have two people ever harmonized better than Emmylou and Gram, I think not. I cant decide whether they make me want to pick up my guitar and sing or just give up because I could never be this good. Simply beautiful.

  • Been looking for a live version. you know when it's Him

  • pone la carne de gallina, the fallen angels,no se puede decir mas...Gram parsons que estas en los cielos...los que sean

  • Wow! I was at all 6 of these shows (2 sets per night over 3 nights). Awesome! I have some fotos also.

  • @unreceivedogmas Could we see them anywhere?

  • I think Gram was born with a broken heart, and I think I was, too. One of the best feelings i have experienced in life is singing harmony with him and Emmy Lou ( and whoever) for the last 36 years, in my living room. It's good to know other people appreicate him, too.

  • @kshealy01 In my living room, in my car, in my head. I agree, his voice takes me to a place I can't explain.

  • This is a gem. Thank you for posting.

  • My favorite GP song. This version is haunting. Something wondrously distant and surreal about a good murky boot from nearly 40 years ago. Like the past singing to you. Simply beautiful.
