  • ramp thats ok duct tpae?

  • I miss the Caribou and the Smallwood...new boat is just not the same!

  • @stmbfl Caribou love!

  • Newfoundland is absolutely breathtaking province. 2nd to none. Looking forward to my 6th adventure to Newfoundland. Absolutely love the ferry ride, Looking forward to going on the Atlantic Vision. Will be touring all the way from St Johns to Port aux Basques, Burgeo, L'Anse aux Meadows, Twillingate. i have been to every province in Canada and Newfoundland is my favourite, Born in Ontario and lived here all my life. My husband is from there and thats what got me started. Food is great too.

  • I would never risk my life to go on the Marine Atlantic especially to some shithole primitive backwards province like Newfoundland aka NoFunLand. These boats have been plagued with flaws from the start and the only idiots stupid enough to go on these are newfies. If I am going ona ship its going to be a cruise ship that goes down to Boston, New York on its way to Miami, not some hick place like Newfoundland thats for sure.

  • aurexgirl you completely miss the point what the mv atlantic vision is used for , yes people travel on it to get arcross to newfoundland but it also used for good and services to be transported from the marntimes to the Newfoundland. Not only that but your risking your life on any type of transportation these days.

  • @aurexgirl good, stay the fuck out of nfld ya stupid bitch.

  • @aurexgirl go fuck ur self slut!!

  • @aurexgirl go fuck your self you whore. id LOVE to see you say that to some newfies down on george street bitch. also learn to spell dumbass. you say NFLD is a hick place. sounds more like your the hick you in-bred bitch

  • o man that must be realy rough!!!!!! but not as rough as the Perfect storm

  • oh man...I get SO SEASICK....Im not going to fair well at all. (puke puke puke) ..Gravol will be my best friend. LOOK at those waves! I hope I am crossing on a nice quiet day.

  • @mickey606 Does it help to have a full stomach. I don't usually get sick, but I remember once feeling a bit sick and after eating it went away. Also remember feeling sick going across wth the The Bond. This was in April 1985.

  • Wow that's crazy ....... I'm doin that trip this July ........ Gravol here I come lol

  • My Father was a mate on this crossing it was nuts how the ramp went all the way back he said......i've been on her a few times, shes a high class vessel no doubt, but not what you need for a 5 hours crossing, she doesnt belong over here

  • Truckers call the Leif Ericson Fear Factor.

If you have ever crossed over on a stormy day you'll know why.

  • @twillick I was on in in April a few years back. That's about the right discription of it. Nothing keeps you awake at night like the sound of ice grinding against it's hull.

  • they are planning to use the leaf ericson for trucks now, instead of carrying people, the ericson is no good anyway

  • true that bud.. thats the only marine atlantic ship i dont like

  • Marine Atlantic sucks in general. Piss poor management and to top it all off the most laziest employees one has ever seen.

  • I work in PEI and Last year it took me two days to get home. Why? because I was going home by bus and the Ferry wasn't on time (as always) so I had to spend the night in North Sydney and the whole Day in Port au Basques so I could catch the next bus. I think Marine Atlantic is being run by Monkeys.

  • @GESSO217 -- I have had that same problem.. Boat running last and I missed my bus connection... Not once but twice.. I still love the crossing tho!

  • lol when we went i was hoping and preying we wouldnt go on that ship it looked really shitty and i couldnt imagine spending 5 to 8 hours on that

  • oops, we broke the Superfast IX already!

I am probably going to get the Atlantic Vision this summer for a crossing.

  • The atlantic vision is from port-a-basques to north sydney.

Take the joseph and clara smallwood then you will have to come through my home town

  • I'd probably end up on the Caribou first ;) The captain of the original SS Caribou, Benjamin Tavenor, is my Great great great grandfather.

  • now don't that look like fun...

  • everyone smells

  • She wont be Going to Argentia Unfortuently lol... Shes Going to be going strait to Sidney and back To Port aux Basque now...

  • @Newfie2000 umm :P they dont go to sydney they go to north sydney....common misteak but calling north sydney is like calling an apple an orange. two totaly different things :P cheers

  • @Newfie2000 umm :P they dont go to sydney they go to north sydney....common misteak but calling north sydney is like calling an apple an orange. two totaly different things :P cheers

and she will be doing the argentia run aswell shes going to be called the shut eye ferry

  • won't have to worry about trucks on her....she'll be running argentia 1/2 full all summer.....lol we will still get the old junk for the trucks

  • spent 1\2 million a month towards about 20% of their revenue, needs a boat that can handle about 70 tractor trailers, who keep the service viable 10 months of the year. it's a real shame.rumour has it no one can dock her in port, decks are closed for vehicles, not really wind worthy. fine dining and hot tubs such a joke.

  • superfast IX baby...!!!!

  • she's a bute isn't she!
