ehi this is awesome........... i was wondering if you could do a cover of "angels don't kill" because all the tabs I saw are too bad. I would really appreciate it........
That depends on what you prefer bro, you could always buy one and save for the other one or go to a music store (Guitar Center) and try both out to see which one you like better.
@Yenasty5 I got 4 stringed bass... but ofcourse needs more skill to get speficer sounds from it than on five stringed... ;D I've learnt these: Crazy train, it snows in hell, trooper, run to the hills, powerslave, aces high, hallowed by the name, master of puppits, fearof the dark... and i got in progress: Excel - Tapping into emonational void.
dude i play the song exactly how henkka plays it, watch my cover of it, im not saying im perfect but if you watch mine you will see the parts you played wrong, but good cover :)
hardly the best cover of are you dead yet, you played so many parts wrong and you should use a pick because your fingers are doing nothing for you, they are not in time at all, i think you should leave the bodom covers to the other guys on youtube, ;)
@htblacksmith1 uuh sorry but i played this exactly the way henkka plays it so i dont know what you're talking about, and i know im offtime sometimes i might redo this one, i stopped playing for quite some time so my fingers are not in shape but as far as playing it wrong im pretty sure its 100% correct
@Yenasty5 first fail, 0:13 - 0:15, second fail 0:28 - 0:30 it does not follow the guitar still, take some advice fom how henkka plays, .com/watch?v=VvaDA2TLryk
Google m-audio fasttrack, first link, that'd be an interface. OD = overdrive, really helps you bring out those mids and gives you some nice crunch if you want it to.
You should consider getting an interface, that way you'll lose way less quality of the original signal. Perhaps it's youtubes fault but you're missing the "oomph" and clarity, could use some of that OD, just sayin'. Props for using your fingers though, good job!
Nice! Mind if I ask you about how you record/mix your recordings? You use any compression? I can never seem to get my bass to cut through the mix like yours does.
I plug my bass into my computer's microphone input
Then i insert the Mp3 of the song im covering into Reaper, the editing program
I downloaded GTR Solo, which is an Amp modeling software
I use GTR to get the tone i want.. you wanna cut through you need Mids.
Then i just lower the volume of the song and leave a moderate one for my bass track and render it as MP3, edit it with windows movie maker and upload it.
good to see a bass cover that actually plays the real bassline, all the others just play what the guitarists play
