Personal Opinion here, but I liked Stay Alive. It's not a new idea, in the fact there are a few other movies out there that have the same basic idea. "Watch something on TV, what happens will happen to you." Videodrome is like that. Trippy shit there. But I like the idea of a game that literally pits you against death. Survive the game, or die for real. Then again, that would eliminate most of the gamer population, and even some of the programmers, so bad theory. Keep the death in game.

I liked Stay Alive, but because it's a crappily made movie, in my opinion. There are some good creepy elements, like a random rumble of a controller in the middle of the night.

Then again, the movie starts out with a jump scare, which is a very cheap way to scare the audience.

Its actually called "Spider of Steel" or "Steel Spider" in the comics. Its made out of super durable webbing and metal...Peter made it to battle The Eel, Tangle, Plantman, Thermite and Bloodrose all at the same time (kinda) in an old comic. But Thermite froze it and Spidey had to shatter it to keep fighting. It only appeared in one comic...which is sad because its so cool...it also showed up in the cartoon. One of the alternate Spideys wore it.

It's loosely based of of a book calle "Gemini Game" by Michael Scott.

The movie was actually pretty cool. most video game and comic movies suck because people who write/diresct them don't want to follow a specific plot or try to do toooooo much in 2 hrs.

I don't have a problem with rants, in fact, I'll go on one right now.

The movie is cool, yes, but it's because it's so terribly made. The characters are really annoying, and they don't give us a reason to actually care about them. And the factor that the game is still playing when they turn it off is just a cheap excuse to continue killing people. Plus, what's the point of telling the cops, "A VIDEO GAME IS TRYING TO KILL ME!!!!" It never works.
