guinea pigs squealing for their mother is not a "cute" thing. it is a response to being abandoned. vocalizations and movement are precursors to depressive behaviors, and as they continue to react this way their cortisol levels increase (i.e. they are overtly stressed). Eventually they will exhibit passive behaviors such as crouch and piloerection, which are indicative of "separation anxiety" in higher order mammals. Please do not do this to your animals, as it is not healthy.
