The way I see this, is this guy commited murder, and walked around with a head..He has some sort of weird mental disorder if he walks around with the head..So I am 50-50 for the death penalty, though I think a psychiotrist should see him first, because if it is a mental disorder, he shouldn't be killed right off the bat, only if they cannot help him in any way, shape or form.
How would killing the guy solve anything except your personal desire for vengeance? The guy will probably be locked up for a long long time, which if this guy is truly mentally ill, would be a much worse punishment if his illness goes untreated. Well for one do YOUR RESEARCH not only did Phil say the age of the kid (19) but do you live in Canada? Canada doesnt have the death penalty. And You shouldnt judge the guy obiviously the guy was mentally unstable, also he was a Cannablist. So it wasnt like a random killing with no cause. and i did do my research, maybe you should too. he wasnt 19, he was 22. and his name was tim mclean and he was a carnival worker on his way to winnipeg (where he lived) from a carnival that just ended in edmonton

wtf is wrong with you..IT SEEMS like your sticking up for his cannibalism or something. A lot of US CANADIANS believe this guy deserves more then life in prison. Sometimes things happen in life that really shake and wake you. This situation was one of those for me.

Who really cares if he wins or not. Wow..but yeah I think he desrves to have his fucking head chopped off anyway..vigilante justice..though I certainly dont support it..if this guy ever sees the light of day it wont be for long..

true but how safe can it be if you have inmates who kill child melesters and wifebeaters they have a moral code in prison. theres no such thing as safe its an allusion. the goverment does it to you all the time. they wanted to listen into your conversations to protect you from terrisim which means you lose your privace for the felling or allusion of safty. and if me our my brother go to jail for something like what that guy did i would shit my pants.

Assuming that he was criminally insane then he should not be put to death. This is a very important issue about the type of society that we want to live in.
What about gang bangers that kill enemies or total strangers with malicious intent? That's worse, so should every kid that kills in a street gun-fight be put to death?
The point is to protect society and agree on a set of values that we want to live by. The stats show that the death penalty does not impact the murder rate.

No, death penalty doesn't do anything. It's just murder. Legal or not. You need to wake up. We don't need Canada turning into America, one America is more than enough. Comments made by people like you are the reason there are so many murderers in society, and the number isn't going to go down, either. Killing him would be just putting him out of his misery and be too easy. He should be put in the tiniest cell in prison and not allowed to leave ever to be reminded of what he did everyday.
