I totally agree that this scene should have been kept, not only for Frankie reading their lips and discovering that the stranger isn't his father, but it's a big turning point for Lizzie, going from a vulnerable philophobe from her past abuse from Davy to finally finding comfort in a man who actually does care about her even if they don't know each other.
I love this scene...I wonder how many favorites my computer can hold...it is completely packed with Gerry scenes...I wish they had more romance in the movie....

I agree as well. This is a very sweet interlude and it definitely should have been in the film. The thing that makes it so compellingly romantic is that they can display such depth of emotion and tenderness just with a look or a touch. Sigh...this was just wonderful. Thank you for posting it - it's going in my faves.
I think it should have been in the movie as well... it would help to explain how the little boy knew this wasn't his real dad.. reading their lips.. plus it's so soft and sweet and packed full of tenderness it should have been seen by everyone.. thanks for sharing..

It's a nice scene, but I see why they did not use it.
The effects do not move the plot, mostly it takes away from the hallway/kiss scene. Thanks for posting here, great movie.
