My only problem with DT is how the vocalist simplifies the music. The only time that they get really technical or progressive is when he isn't singing. If he is, it is usually just 4/4 or 3/4. I like his voice, but I just can't help but wonder what they could do with a more techincally versitile vocalist

i can get why people think its a copy of the tool song 46 & 2. but its just similar, this is not the exact same. the songs are about two different things. and its only the intro that's similar. and people should not argue over which is better because both bands are amazing in their own way, and that's coming from a big fan of both bands.

However many people consider the entire of Metropolis pt 2 to be a singular song, just broken up into separate sections, as it's just one singular narrative, if you look at it like that MP2 is 77min long.
