Performance testing is important for any vehicle. How well behaved and capable a vehicle is on the track, usually goes hand in hand with its real world safety and drive-ability. Not to mention levels of control in out of control or sticky situations which are very important for an everyday car. So braking, handling, grip, steering response, and acceleration. A vehicles performance is it's its most important feature.

I'm in the Market for a 3 row xover SUV and I keep passing this up for the GMC and Buick versions, just because of the amount of cheapy plastic parts in the interior. I however feel like my budget may bring me back full circle and may damn well end up taking this Chevy home over the preferred Buick Enclave, or the GMC Acadia

I know they are completely different vehicles, but we had too much trouble with the 2006 Chevy Trailblazer & Chevy Silverado 1500 (both bought new) for my family to ever buy a Chevrolet/GM product again. Our 2011 Pilot and 2010 Ridgeline have never needed anything but routine maintenance and have never had to be taken back to the dealership for repairs. The 1st MONTH I had the Silverado, it was in the shop 5 times. The Trailblazer needed a new transmission at 22,000 miles. GM? NO THANKS!

These things are comfrotable. The driving feel is spot on and the ride is smooth without losing handling composure. Honestly I drove this and a newer x5, and the x5's steering felt anemic and over boosted in comparison, and the ride was too stiff for a vehicle with it's intentions. Though internal trim and external design on the x5 is better, the Traverse is a better road machine, and also a helluva lot cheaper. Gotta say Traverse beats the x5
