When I was in my 20's, a lady by the name of Maria Olas, who was the mother of the priest of the local Eastern Othodox church in Beaumont, TX, showed me this art form and I learned it. I still have the supplies and now would like to go back to it now that I am in my 50's. Don't know how to pick out the designs though. Need help.
Do you know anyone who decorates in Madrid? I need somebody!!! Our community needs this divesrse type of cultural appreciation, it's a great mind opener to the many unknown arts and cultures that we can learn from and appreciate. Love the art. I would love to meet someone who does this kind of art!

Ukrainians are not leaving in the country for 2000 years. This is an historic lie. Ukrainians,as the Russians too, came very late in the region, for only 1000 years, and they had been Christianized and civilized by the only nation living in the area, the Romanians. Romanians, or their antique name Thracian or Dacins are the oldest nation on earth and the oldest habitants of the eastern Europe, or Old Europe, as some scientists are colling them.
well, I could also argue that Ukrainians are descedents of Scythians, an ancient culture even older than Dacians. Anyway Romanians do not have monopoly on Dacians and Thracians. Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine. Moldovia were all parts of these ancient tribes as well. We're are all descedants of some ancient tribe, to actually argue that one modern nation came before another is ridiculous - stop that chauvinistic nationalism - it's not healthy.
Romanian had nothing to do with christianity in Ukraine. It was actually introduced by Vladimir the Great in 988 to the east slavic state of Kievan Rus' (present day Ukraine) so nothing to do with Romania......
