  • baya papa, good job. They sound bitchin'!

  • Once the mufflers are installed, do you have to remap the onboard computer or is the bike ready to ride?

  • Great video, thanks for the lesson!

  • Just installed the exact same slip-ons (V&H Tapered slash cut) on my 07 Road King, sound is amazing deep and loud with a good tone, i will record it and post it. But did you buy the FuelPak? or its not that much important?? i refilled my bike with gas and will measure how much it will drive with full after slip-ons without fuelpak to compare.

  • hola buen video hermano . acabo de adquirir una road king police 2001 y me gustaria me instruyeras como hacerle el cambio de aceite gracias.

  • I just put a set on my flh, love the sound

  • sounds nice, how much were the mufflers? if i may ask.

  • Great video Carlos. Only one question; since you didn't install a fulepak or a power commander, what do you think about having the EFI remaped by HD? Do you get as much power out your pipes without this?

  • Which model of pipes are these??

  • No grease needed, it's just going to smell as you heat up the bike. If the bolts your removing are really rusty just shoot some WD40 on the threads. Good luck

  • How about some anti-sieze grease on the bolt threads and silencer / exhaust pipe sleeve ?

  • carlos do you prefer vance and hines over screaming eagle pipes?

  • I like the Lower tone, but I would recommend you go to a bike shop and ask them to turn on a few bikes so you can hear what you like. They should have many styles.

  • Great tutorial Carlos...Thank You!

Couple questions I believe everyone is thinking but not asking

Whenever asking about new pipes mostly all of us have been told we need a stage 1 kit as well as a tuner for new pipes.

Is this true or can we just put the new pipes on and ride?

About $400 as opposed to $1500 would be great!

I have a 2008 Street Glide and I am sick of the stock lawnmower exhaust tone.

    Thanks,

    Chris

  • @crisscreations

Hi Chris you don't need a stage Kit or tuner. The slip on pipes work just fine.

  • For anyone who knows. I've got a 2005 sportster (one of the last with a carb) and want to get some slip ons for it.

watching this video it seems pretty easy to install. I don't have to worry about adjusting the air/gas mixture do I?

  • @athroughme

I had a 2004 Sportster. I put some Rush pipes on it, and it seemed to run fine, maybe a SLIGHT bit leaner without any carb work. But after I additionally installed an S/E intake, it ran WAY too lean for the stock carb settings. After I went ahead and swapped out the jets and the needle, the bike ran better in every way. Power, response, everything.

  • Great Video..I'm buying a Nightster and was thinking of putting slip ons on...I have never owned a bike before...would you say I would be able to put on the slip ons by myself? It looked so easy for you. I think I can manage...sorry if it's a dumb question.. : )

  • Just make sure you have an inpact gun for the bolt on the exghust. Other than that I don't see why not.

  • Thanks!

  • impact gun*

  • @James95Dean It makes the job easier if the pipes have been on the bike for a while. Good luck

  • Very Good

    Thanks

  • Very Helpful video,I'm looking to do the same to my '06 RoadKing. How did you find out you didn't need to do a Stage 1 or any other special engine work?I don't want to spend the extra $ if I don't have to!

    Thanks,btw,Great Scoot!! :)

  • I asked the dealer, they stated not necessary. I havn't felt any difference in the engine or power. You should be fine. Good luck

  • Thank you so much ! you are the man.

  • @absoft2000 Good Luck, Ride with Caution!

  • Helpful video. Thanks.

  • @SfcBrandies Ride with Caution Good Luck

  • did you have to put a power commander on your bike and stage1 air cleaner?

  • No it was not needed, and the bike runs great no difference in power. No need to spend the $

  • Thanks for the video! Nice job!

  • Thanks for the feed back, when I was searching for pipes there was not to many install videos so I figured I would show how easy it was to install yourself and save the $

  • I have a 09 street Glide and appreciate your video I'm sold on Vance and Hines. Good job looks great.
