  • man they loooove almonds:)

  • My brothers sun conures lay eggs.....what seems like all the time and they are both girls from what I hear. I don't understand....please help.:-/

  • @linaeable Oh its like having a period. The eggs aren't fertile. Its just what they do to dispose of non-fertile eggs. they lay them.

  • i miss that screaming. don't cook with teflon, it's poisonous to birds

  • I miss Pele.

    (My Sun Conure)

  • im sooo excited cuz im getting a sun soon!! i know they can b loud but i dont live in an apartment so ill be fine. is it ok just to have one?

  • ones a righty, one's a lefty!

  • I have a question for anyone who can answer me. I am thinking of getting a conure. I spend most of the day away from home (since i'm in school), let's say from 6:20am to 3:30 - 4:00pm,so obviously I cannot give him attention during that time, but I can give attention the rest of the day up until nighttme. Is that ok?

  • @MasterJoker202 As someone who owns a conure, I can tell you that they are a huuuge commitment. They need a LOT of attention and a special diet that consists of more than just store-bought seed. They are incredibly loving pets and tons of fun, but they need to get out of their cage daily for at LEAST a few hours at a time or they will turn into incessant screamers or feather pluckers . They also grind their beaks when they're happy, which sounds like fingernails scraping down a chalkboard.

  • @MasterJoker202 To be painfully honest, if I'd known about the beak grinding, and just how loud and grating the sound can be, I would not have gotten a conure. But I've bought a white noise machine since then which has allowed me to keep my sanity AND my beloved green-cheek. :) DO get a conure if you think you can devote at least a few hours to it every single day. DON'T get a conure if you don't like cleaning up messes, spending extra money on food, or are sensitive to unpleasant sounds. ;)

  • @crispyunicorn and dont get a bird PERIOD if all you do is lock it up in its cage. Let it roam free.

  • @MasterJoker202 to help the bird cope with your time away, you can put large mirror close to the cage, windows, sunlight, they should be fine. If you don't mind the electricity bill, leave on the classical music radio station.

  • Have you had them sexed or laying eggs? Because based on the coloring that looks like Ronnie and Clyde to me :) Boys have alot of red like that unless they are red factor.

  • Well done!

  • I had two but one died last winter. Im still upset about it. i thought when one died the other would too because his buddy was gone. I replaced him with a parakett thats now thinks hes a conure. they are best friends and everything seemed to work out fine.

  • My sun conure loves almonds too. Don't get a sunny unless you can take the noise. Mine is 8 and much quieter than these two but still noisy.

  • How do you tell which is Bonnie and which is Clyde?

  • I really like this video of these two, they are cute and know it !! I have two myself and they are very spoiled like yours seem to be too.

  • was pretty until the horrible sounds.

  • I've never seen a redder sun before very beautiful birds you have

  • love it when they eat, so messy:P

  • We should eat a lot almond too to provide us good almond oil to get better skin and hair. :)

  • your suns really have bright plumedge. Mine is bright but not that bright. what do they eat. thanks

  • My bird fell off the computer chair when he heard this =P

  • @TheEmpharos haha same! my little pepe fell off his gymnasium! lol!

  • my dog heard this and .... said WTH ... i have a sunconure they can be VERY LOUD but i love him

  • cool birds

  • i play this vid for my green cheek, so he can stay connected somehow with it's natural world. He starts screaming like these guys

  • HOLY CRAP they're loud. My Jenday Conure heard this and SCREAMED.

  • Are you sure those aren't Red Factor Sun Conures? They sure look like them!

  • lol oh my gosh.. i have a sun conure as well. they're so loud!! but soooo cute and sweet. when i first got him his screaming popped my ears but it doesnt anymore. he is 7 years old. i have a feeling he has done some damage to my hearing :P

  • @shaashiie i've had mine only for 2 days, and my haering's not very good anymore... Po, (short for potater) is a replacement for Mojave, who had a disorder, and stopped eating. she died on Christmas. i miss her... you can see her in my video.

  • mine heard this and SCREAMED!

  • my jenday really enjoyed this video! He squawked and ate along with them.

  • I know I shouldn't be surprised but they move, sound, and act so much like my Gold-capped conure.

  • well aren't they precious^^

i can't wait to have parrots myself!

  • cute

  • I have a sun conure named Tasha, and it is 10 years old.

  • if I got a sun conure is there a possibility it would get along with my lovebird and they'd enjoy each others company and I could let them play together?

  • I'm in Modesto and I'm intrested in adopting them.

    Email me

  • besides almond, what else can I give my Sun ? I give her a walnut sometimes, or fruit like apple and banana...

  • Sun Conures eat vegetables like carrots, corn, beans, zucchini, romaine lettuce, acorn squash etc. DO NOT feed them avocado as it is poision to them.

They can also eat raw peanuts in a shell, sunflower seeds or seeds that you can feed cockatiels. But seeds should be treats. Feed a good conure food like Harrison's so they get all the vitamins and minerals that they need, Fruit and veggies should be 10% of their diet.

  • cabrom son pintadas -.-

  • I have one named Dalilah about 9 months old

  • Beautiful colors!

I like it when sun conures have more orange in their feathers. Some sun conures have more yellow.

  • those are the same name as my sun conure

  • My Sun is giving no response to your birds' vocals in this vid. He has a lot more yellow in him, whereas your birds look more red/orange. Does it have to do with breeding? Is it possible that they no longer recognise each others calls? (Or to be honest, Conure screams?)

  • Maybe your bird is smart enough to know it's a video, not a real bird!

  • good luck finding them a nice home, I would take them if I wasn't so many miles away, I'm in new jersey, I loves conures

  • omg i was going to say like the exact same thing!! im in australia have a green cheek too! haha weird O.o

  • there so louad but so beautiful lol

  • how too know there sex??

  • DNA testing... some birds are discernible by sight (i.e., parakeets), but some are not. Sunnies are not. :-)

  • yep i must say for a small bird sun conures sure pack a punch! they are so strong willed and always keep you guessing lol my little Arwen bird is the ruler of the roost thats for sure haha :)

  • lol how cute!, i have a video of green cheeked conures in my profile, check it out :)

  • My Sun Conure, Mango absolutely LOVES this video! I can play this over and over - she never tires of it! Thank you for sharing this; your little ones are adorable! :-)

    peace,

    ivy, ny

  • beautiful colours

  • i got one and his name is pepito (lol)

    can't believe he's 7 already!!

  • I have a cinnamon green cheek conure and her name is Bonnie too,lol

  • Beautiful Suns! I love the orange. My Lenore looks like yours, but her shoulders have some green flecks still. I hope they become solid yellow likes yours! Not that I'd love her any less if they don't lol.

  • They are so gorgeous! Very orange.

  • sun conures are my favorite, the personalities will suck you in.

  • i cant wait until

our sun conure turns those colors

    your birds are so cute!

  • Wow your sun conures are so cute! I have one it's name is Elliot. It doesnt squak AS loud as your but it's still pretty loud. But mine is just a baby right now.

  • my sun conure Remy squeaks, not squawks

  • Beautiful birds! My Ernie doesn't screech that high thank God.

  • That's a lot of orangeness.

  • I can't hit that high of a note.

  • They are so cute, one is right handed and the other left handed. I like the little twirl they were doing with each other.
