  • I've been wanting to pick up the Neoprene sandal kit from Luna Sandals but I've been worried about how I'd go about cutting the patterns out of the sheet. Any recommendations on getting clean cuts with the neoprene? Thanks! =)

  • Just got them and tied them like this, with hemp laces. They also came with leather. Got size 9, probably should have gone with 10's, but too excited to to bother exchanging! Told my wife I was going to the store for beer - which I did - but stopped at the the park for a quick 2 miler. Sweet ride...

  • @dwv161 A little short is generally a good thing. Lot's of Tarahumara wear them with the toes sticking over the edge.

  • How does this work for running vs. the wrap around the ankle method? Do they stay on as well?

  • what are these laces? leather?

  • @oodoow those are special cut latigo leather lace...it has taken me years to find just the right combo of strength and comfort.

  • I use an elastic, the kind you would find in underpants and bedsheets. Works great, at least on my super flexible, 3 mm recycled tire material. These soles look a bit too stiff to be easily manipulated by elastics, though.

These new sandals, do you encourage cutting them to the shape of each individuals feet, or are they sold much like other sandals which are generally left 'as is'?

  • KEXP Seattle playing in the background. Definitely going to support them...as they are the background music of the Luna Sandal Garage Factory.
