Laying on his back really signifies nothing, although it probably is. Once when I saw them in Orlando in Feb 1995, they played in a barn and it was so FUCKING cold. Deaner played 1/2 of the 3 hour set behind the drums sitting down trying to keep warm. I am sure you could have easily said that he was too drunk/high to stand, but it probably was just that he was FREEZING.

Back in 94 I saw them at the Axis in Boston, and I have never seen Gener more wasted. He was pounding jack and then left stage only to come back and say "that was a little jack for the nose". But that was back in 94, these guys have gone thru this before, and they'll go thru it again. They never stop rocking. And to whoever theorized that Dean doesnt have his heart into it should punch their own nuts. Just listen, hear it, yeah that's all heart bitch.

This was an amazing show and considering that some BC slinger gave Gener something that was too potent for him to give you a show of "approximately the same quality" as a CD....well, maybe Ween is not the band for you. I'm sure theoryofanickelcreed can provide you with that sort of live entertainment.

@jerlani that was my first and so far only ween show and even though gener wasn't 100% it was still a great show. everyone else ripped it up. I was getting pissed off, listening to all these people who have seen ween umpteen times and bitching about a bad show. it's rock n roll for chrissakes. I would have liked gener to be in a little better shape but hey, probably next time. and as far as morrison or joplin, I would expect a good sloppy show

The best songs they did all night, I thought, were covers. Dave (?) the bass player sang on a brilliant cover of The Ace of Spades.
