i started with two strands. im almost six months in and i see a little thickness. i want THICK locs. my twist werent as small as urs when i started and urs have thickened quite a bit so this gave me a little hope for my locs. ugh! i hooooope they become as thick as i want them to be. i have about 80

@Lyfeology locs can be tricky they expand and shrink according to a lot of things like the humidity outside, how often you wash them, how often you retwist, etc. I hope they turn out how you want them to. Enjoy the different stages while they last.

@dapa1871 I told her I didn't want really thin locks, but not too thick. That was as specific as I got, and I showed her a picture of what I wanted the end result to be after they matured. Mine started off thin and i thought they would be too thin, but now they are nice and thick because locs change a LOT over time as they mature

it looks like you started with the two strand twist, how often did you re-twist them, and how long did it take you to see results?

@MsEverythang03 i did start with 2strand twists.  I retwisted monthly. They loc'd very gradually over time. most of my hair was loc'd after a year and a half or so.

So how do u maintaine them?

@7dowdell i wash them every 2 weeks to a month and i just twist the roots and leave the rest of it alone because the two strand twist will lock on their own. I usually retwist when i wash
