I would like to say also that the features that came with the GZ-HM550 are great. I love the bluetooth ability to share and GPS with Google Maps!!! For me it's great to have functions like this I need on vacation, birthdays and events. I've a 42" HD TV and the video's are showing perfect bright en sharp. Offcourse you'll need to setup de XP or UXP mod.
Also I like the 9.3MP digital camera. I won't need to take a second device with me...
@van01010100 no, its 1080p at 30 frames per second, called 30p, p stands for proggressive, which is a ment for perfect, so 1080p at 30fps, it is also 1080i, at 60fps
@Macmittens411, please use a MAC with iMovie 09 or Final Cut Express and all your problems are solved!
For PC the only good possibility I know is to use Elegard software which converts AVCHD to a edit Codec of almost 100mbps. Aflter editing you can export it again to AVCHD. Results are superb. Ofcourse you need a extra big harddisk because the files are growing cause by the translation of AVCHD.

I sent mine back already. Low light performance and digital image stabilization were both unsatisfactory.
